Telstra Plus Market shutting down from 7 September 2023.

    I'm not even sure what the market is. And I wish I had more points, they build up far too slowly for the premium we pay to Telstra. I recently got a new xbox controller as my old one broke, so that was nice. But by golly do we pay a premium.

    Cashed out the points for M3 hub. So I don't think they'll be missed. Their value proposition is horrible. Actually, anything to do with Telstra is always bad value proposition :-)

      I got a party speaker that was pretty good value, sometimes they have good discounts. Not very often though, or people would post them here as deals more often I'd think.

      Best coverage of any of the telcos is pretty good value proposition for me, and the points are just a bonus.

      I think the market was a place for businesses to offer Telstra Plus points on purchases - however for me all it showed was a tailoring business and a florist.

      I just wanted to ask you if I need to cash out my points or is the reward store where you use your points separate to the market? I have just over 8000 points and am saving up for something in the reward store, will I continue to earn points after the 7th of Sep on things such as paying my bill etc?

    Is anyone seriously surprised by this?
    The Market was trash and I doubt many, if any, sales were ever made through it.

      Yeah unsurprising at all being so short-lived. I think Telstra probably saw for themselves the abysmal sales report since inception and decided to pull the pin.
