Which Portable Photo Printer Has The Cheapest Refills?

Which portable or mini or travel photo printer has the cheapest or cheap refills? They seem to be like big printers in that they sell them cheapish and gouge on the ink or toner and paper. I'm looking for 10x15cm or 6x4in size. As far as I know all the film sizes are currently annoyingly tiny.

  • I wouldn't print photos with toner or on standard copy paper. I wouldn't use generic ink either because afaik they are all more likely to fade in a few decades than genuine ink. Canon spend a fortune developing their inks and even if other people knew how they made them, the molecules and processes are probably patented anyway. Same with papers, you'll probably get earlier fade on cheap Kodak photo paper than genuine branded photo paper like Canon's.

If you are going to throw the photo away in a few years anyway then maybe generic ink would be okay. Generic pigment ink will probably last a lot longer than generic dye ink too. Don't know if they make portable pigment printers tho.

  • I'd be looking at which has the best print results more than toner $
