VentraIP August Sale - $17.95/2 Years com.au/net.au Domains

100

Saw it on VentraIP's blog post that they are having their August sale today. They have .com.au/.net.au domain registration for $17.95/2 Years (save $2).

They also have discount on web hosting products, although the quality varies and it's hard to compare against other providers (unlike domain name registration). Also discount on SSL certificates, but I'll recommend just go to RapidSSL resellers that can get you one for ~$10/year.

  • Been hosting a small website on them for 1year + so far, no issues.
And at $52 total for 3 years (excluding domain name) for hosting, that is great.

Might just create a personal one - maybe a personal blog or something…

  • Which reseller? Thanks.

    Beware.
Been with them for 2 years.
Signed up during a promotion like this. And half way they changed their mind and increased the price of the plan (without my approval).

Had I known it I wouldnt go with them.
And almost an outage every month.

6 years with another provider and no issues, no complaints.

I'm not negging, but beware of these guys.

Yeah I am particular picky with hosting and prob won't host a site on cheap plans.

HOWEVER domain name is another matter, where it's mostly just set and forget.

    • You agreed to their terms of service, they can change the price without your approval.

    • @bargainhunter_dande, what hosting service are you using now then? :O

  • You can get free Class I SSL certificates from http://www.startssl.com/. These are essentially the same as the RapidSSL ones mentioned in the OP.

StartSSL's other certificates (Org V, EV) are also quite affordable.
