The green bubble supremists will rejoice

        • It won't, I guarantee you.

        • +1

It simply won’t. If it does, the NASDAQ market will decline significantly and later the Wall Street | the whole world economy goes into bubble.

Thanks OP. Just purchased a $200 one to use as App Store credit. A fair bit of info was needed on the form, hope this company is somewhat legit.

    • +7

Ahh just saw the other comments and in the invoice it was from Coles Supermarkets, good stuff they already know how often I poop.

    • +4

As others have mentioned, they are Coles Group. But calling Coles somewhat legit is a stretch, I’ll admit

    • I am sure you’ve given more info to Coles at other times already.

    • +5

Try buying more than half a dollar’s worth at a time

    • Love me some angry customers complaining to the persons post who made them aware of a deal in the first place.

Down votes the post as if the poster is responsible.

    • +2

      Social score?

  • -1

    after 15% off

  • This is easier to get higher denomination gift cards. But if you want to save an additional 3% you can purchase ultimate home gift cards from Coles then purchase Apple Gift cards from JB Hi Fi. Although the effort might not be worth the savings for some.

I can’t reach the checkout. Anyone else?

    • I got to checkout, put my card details in and got transaction failed. Can see it pending in my bank though.

    • +1

I couldn't either on my laptop but it works on my phone.

      • failed both on laptop and phone different browser. May be because I am trying to pay with ZIP.

        • Yeah Zip one time card will fail. They use secondary validation, like send a sms

          • @rpb: Tried with different credit card that also had same error.

    • I had issues reaching the checkout using Google Chrome (having a bit of trouble with Chrome on some websites these days). I tried Microsoft Edge and it worked fine.

Can I stack these and use them to make Danny Ric’s Alpha Tauri faster?

  • Price matched with officeworks. Had to call 3 times to work. YMMV

    • Tip : be gentle and greet them. Things will workout.

      • How much did you buy, if I may ask?

        • +1

          5 limit.
          85.50 each
          Total 427.50

          • @hopper: Thanks, I need a bit more.

            • @browser: Try different denominations. 5 is limit for each. U have 200 and 50 also

            • @browser: should be able to get up to 2x $500 within their own policy.

        • Interested to know the answer to this. Technically OW only allow you to buy 1 or 2 units at the pricebeat price.

          • @eggboi: Must have been lucky as he first checked limit for giftcards. And then price matched.

            • +1

@hopper: Called them, they refused to price beat as there are "some exclusions that aren't specifically listed" and that it's not an "identical stocked item" since it's a digital gift card which Officeworks doesn't do. Sounds like BS, but whatever

              • @dm02: Like I said, call them multiple times. But looks like by now they might have notified and flagged this. Glad my C&C email arrived

    • Wonder if you could price beat and pay using Ultimate home gift cards from Coles at effectively an additional 13% off

      • +2

OzBargain Lifetime Gold Membership for anyone who achieves this

      • +4

I would be surprised if that worked, because:

        • Officeworks has a gift card policy stating you cannot use any kind of gift card to purchase any gift cards sold at Officeworks.

        • If you manage to get a price beat instore, you should get an Invalid Product Mix error as soon as you swipe or tap your Ultimate gift card on the EFTPOS terminal. This started appearing in Officeworks about three weeks ago, and I encountered this error when trying to purchase an Apple gift card instore at Officeworks last week using an Ultimate Home gift card on a mobile wallet.

        • Someone told metheir Ultimate / Celebration gift card was declined over the phone at Officeworks (although I think it is still worth a shot, as there are many reasons a Visa card is declined).

        • Officeworks’ acceptance of Ultimate / Celebration gift cards is really inconsistent, regardless of whether you are trying to purchase a gift card or other goods. (This is not really relevant for price beats, because price beats are not available via the Officeworks website, but it is still useful to know, I guess.)

I am also surprised anyone is able to get Officeworks to price beat this deal, because this deal is for digital Apple gift cards, whereas Officeworks sells physical Apple gift cards, so strictly speaking they are not identical items.

    I tried to order 20 x $200 cards

    received this error

    Unable to update cart.
Total order value must be $2,500.00 or less.

    • +3

Deal description does say "Maximum order value $2,500. One order per customer". 20 x $200 = $4000

    • +1

      20 * $200 = $4,000 which is > $2,500

    • It says in the post, $2,500 maximum, I guess you can put in 2 separate orders.

You gave an idea not to order $500 x 4, but in smaller denominations for flexibility.

    • +1

Because you were attempting to buy $4000 worth of GCs in one go when the buying limit is $2500
It’s better if you use another credit card and make separate orders if you want to buy $4000 of GCs.

That‘s why I did in their previous 15% off deal.

  • Thanks! I’m now ready for iPhone 15!

    • +12

IPHONE 15 is not ready for you

  • Need an increased Apple cashback from cashrewards or shopback!

  • I'm booked in tomorrow to get a battery replacement at Apple, can I use this gift card to pay for the service?

    • +2

      Yes

    • +2

Yes but do not redeem it into your Apple account balance as you can't spend that in store.

  • +1

I had constant card payment errors in the 15% discount last time that I wasn’t able to buy any card. Let’s see if anything has changed this time.

    • +1

Well…I'm having the exact same problem now. Just tried purchasing 2 x $500 cards and got error messages saying 'Transaction failed, please contact customer service.' Didn't make a difference that I tried making the payment on 3 different credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) or via different browsers, using different email addresses. Pretty annoying.

    • I was fine for 1x $500. Came though in two minutes, unlike the 4 hours or whatever ridiculous it was when the 15% offer was on

  • -1

I’d sooner but 15% bonus ultimate gift cards at woolies and convert to Apple Card’s at JB

    • +2

But that’s really only 13% off and then you have to get JB to do split payments to buy a card (like buying 2x$100 and a $30 using 2x100 cards with 115 on them). I might try that later but you gotta put a price on your time too (and the fact you get all the smaller denominations which will be more painful to redeem in an Apple Store)

  • -2

    Is only 10%

  • Does anybody know how to use the e-gift card to buy apple care+?

I just finished a call with Apple customer service and it seems it's not possible for yearly or 3 years one-time payment.
    Any bypass?

    • Same would like the answer to this question too Thanks

    • yes

    • Go in-store, they can scan the gift card on your email/link to apply the payment.
Even a print out of the e-gift card could work.

      • +1

Yes this is the correct answer. You go in store with the device as they have to check it physically and you pay with the code. Do NOT redeem it into you apple online balance as that cant be used instore.

      • We can purchase AppleCare+ instore with apple gift card??? Damn it, I wish i knew this earlier! Last time i bought enough gift cards for macbook + applecare but i couldn't use gift card nor apple balance to pay for applecare (call centre staff confirmed). Thus left me with $300 gift card lying around unused

      • Thank you for the response but the apple care+ team told me you can't do it but I dont know of the in-store one. Wondering why he didn't tell me though.

Just a bit careful so I dont waste my cash because buying the e-gift cards is solely to pay for 3 yrs of Apple care+.

I might chat with them to verify though.

        • The Apple Care+ team did not have the right answers when I was trying Apple Care too.
As such, your e-gift cards are the same as physical gift cards bought in store. Can used as payment in-store at Apple as long as not loaded into your account as Apple account balance.

You have a way out in that scenario too, if you have the physical cards, you can call the helpline to restore balances from your account to the cards.

          • +1

@wordsmith: You are right. I just spoke with the agreement teams and they said I should head to the store and they will help me buy it. Thanks.

      • You can use x3 of $500 gift cards instore at Apple, by showing them the email.

How quick did the email come back with the digital gift card?

        • Okay.

I think less than 4 minutes.

      • Had it done yesterday.

Anyone who wants to buy the apple care+ with e-gift cards, please remember to go in-store with your student ID and your device.

if I buy iPad 10 gen using this gift card, will I get tax invoice from Apple? you see I am traveling overseas at the end of the month and I'd like to apply for "Tourist Refund Scheme" at the airport.

    • also trying to buy using Apple Edu store..

      • +2

Exactly what I am planning to do and you should be able to.

You don't pay GST for the gift cards themselves. They are means of payment, and anything you purchase with gift cards will have GST and are entitled to TRS.

        • You are right! I got the tax invoice and applied for TRS. I think I bought 10.9" 10gen iPad 64 for $567.

oh my wife got $1 from the leftover.. rofl!

  • Ow price match and beat 5%

  • Thanks 10% off my iCloud and Applecare, I'll take it

  • +1

Transaction failed, please contact customer service.

    • ME TOO 🙁

    • The transaction failed to purchase the gift cards? Or failed to use it at the Apple store?

  • great

  • Assuming with giftcards, you won't get free phone insurance with amex.

    • Correct. Amex terms state item has to be purchased directly with card, not even via 3rd party like PayPal that uses your Amex as default. Where you partially used your Amex, like half Amex half gift cards, the item is covered but they’ll only reimburse the relevant amount up to the item amount spent on the Amex.

  • Thanks OP bought few cards in 2 different transactions and cards were delivered with 10 minutes of purchase without any issues

  • Received a generic troubleshoot response from customer service:

Did you receive a challenge from your bank to authenticate the order? If this was not completed the bank will not accept the transaction.

Please check with your bank that they haven't put a hold on the transaction.

Please and do not use "auto-fill" to enter your details.

We also recommend deleting the cache/cookies/temporary internet files/browsing history from your web browser to clear the current data.

If you are unsure on how to do this for your internet browser please access Google and enter “How do I clear cookies” and add your browser product name at the end. For example if you use Chrome you would type in “how do I clear cookies Chrome”.

If you have a VPN we suggest you turn it off and if you are working from a work computer to turn off any firewalls that also maybe blocking the payment process.

Try using a different browser (we recommend Google Chrome) and/or another device.

  • Good deal.
Is anyone aware of how to make Apple Music and iCloud subscriptions to be taken from the gift card credit when loaded to my account (as opposed to my debit card loaded to my apple account?)

    • +2

Gift cards just add to your Apple ID account balance. Apple take payments from your account balance first. They will charge your credit card if you don't have enough in your account.

  • +1

are people still having issues with Transactions?

  • How does the Apple store use the gift card? there seem to be no barcode, but just serial number?

  • +2

My Transaction keeps failing….. I'm using a credit card to pay. It gets stuck at payment verification and i can't put in any verification code and automatically goes to transaction failed. I've called both the bank and gift card customer service, they both are blaming each other. Cleared my cookies and cache. Nothings working…. Any luck from anyone else?

    • Which bank are you using?

      • +2

        I'm using Commonwealth

        • Worked well for me and I am with CBA. They did send a 6 digit code to netbank to purchase the gift card, then after the purchase went through, they sent me another text stating that my card will be locked out, unless I reply "yes" if I did a purchase.

    • Same issue here, using my credit card and transaction is failing. Tried last night and this morning

    • I have tried several times, i even get the security verification, sms code- but then transaction fails!

Had same issue during the 15% discount promotion, i am using bank of Melbourne, also tried westpac same issue! Bank says the transaction isn’t hitting their system

Guess i already wasted the “savings” with all this hassle of calling giftcards/bank of melbourne fraud/IT departments

I give up! No more wasting time on giftcards website

    • maybe browser extension blocking you? like ghostery or something
I use a browser incognito mode in my PC that has no extension at all

  • Seems to me that the website isn’t displaying the purchase verification properly from the bank. Tried it on both my PC and phone and couldn’t get the purchase to go through.

  • +2

After trying countlessly I have finally secured $2000 worth of giftcards.
I contacted customer service and also CBA but they were unable to help me.
    1. Don’t use auto fill
    2. Paid with CBA credit card
    3. They requested a code which came through in the app
    4. Transaction finally went through and CBA asked me to confirm it was me
    Goodluck 🙂
