  • Typical. Ordered a bread maker for $274 with the previous cashback deal and now it's 20% cashback. Too late to cancel the order.

    • There is no option to get the higher cashback rate applied?

I'm in the same boat - made an order yesterday, today the relevant cashback rate was increased. If I'd known, I would have simply bought today instead. No guarantee I can successfully cancel the order today.

      • +1

Update: cancellation was successful. Will re-buy at hopefully the higher rate.

I'm still curious about this though. When there is an event that cashrewards applies to, and they increase the cashback rate <i>during</i> the event, is there a mechanism to have the higher rate applied, beyond begging for it.

        • I suspect it's an IT hassle to do so. I also recall sometimes not even TA might know on Day 1 what deals are possible - sometimes the merchant just contacts them midway through say, the Prime "Doubleday".

    • with the previous cashback deal and now it's 20%

Are you sure it is belong to "Kitchen"?

      Home›Household Appliances›Small Kitchen Appliances

      • Yeah, it comes under "Kitchen & Dining" category.

        • Browser said this "Home›Household Appliances›Small Kitchen Appliances"

          • @superforever: Which product are you looking at? The one I bought comes under "Kitchen & Dining" on desktop browser.

Doesn't make much difference anyway due to the $30 cap.

          • @superforever:

Browser said this "Home›Household Appliances›Small Kitchen Appliances"

That doesn't mean it's under the Home category, you want to look for the bold category shown at the top left of the listing.

  • multicookers are under household not kitchen for some reason. So dont expect 20%

    • +1

The accessory kit for the Instant Pot multicooker, however, is under Kitchen. Go figure!

      • how convient

  • Is this a separate cap from yesterday's $30 cap?

    • Yes.

  • I bought two items in one purchase/transaction from yesterday's deal. One was an Amazon hardware device. I've received a tracking email from CR today however the Amazon device isn't on it. Should they track at the same time?

    • Please see here. You need to be patient :)

      • Just think of all the purchases made recently. They'll take a while to go through/get processed.

      • Thanks!

  • not sure how to check if robot vacuum is from "home" department? or how to check that in Amazon?
    TIA

    • Please see here to help determine categories. Thanks.

  • Can I make 2 or 3 different purchases using my own and friends Cash rewards accounts, using 1 Amazon account, and get 20% off for each purchase?

  • I don't know if this will get answered in time, but if there is a ##% discount coupon offered by the seller.. and then you click on that to apply to order - does that invalidate the cashback??? Because it isn't manually entered in the Promo Code section. It does appear as promotion applied though.

Anyone have any experience with this?

5% coupon from seller, but 10% cashback from CR… better if I could get both :)

    • @tightarse TIA

  • @tightarse Some issue with tracking, purchased yesterday but so far not tracked ?

    • +2

Please see my comment here. The report is not even a quarter of the way complete. Thanks.

      • Thanks mate , appreciate it

  • Just double checking this scenario - If I bought an item at 15% off yesterday and then 26 hours later bought another item at 20% off today, do I get the full discount on both items?

  • I bought many items yesterday from Amazon in "kitchen and dining" and "shoes, handbag accessories" categories, they have so far all tracked at 1% instead of 5% or 15%. Hopefully, the bonus $5 from $50 spent will make up for the shortfall. But I am somewhat concerned about the promised 20% cashback today.

    • they have so far all tracked at 1% instead of 5% or 15%

But I am somewhat concerned about the promised 20% cashback today.

      20% cashback only start today.

  • Can anyone answer if this is eligible for 20% cashback ? its listed under multiple categories. so confusing

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Instant-Pot-Electric-Multi-Use-Sta…

    • I have the same question, this is my answer

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14019796/redir

      • @mitcheo, @superforever

Hi. Please follow the instructions here to help with categorisation. It's not bullet proof, but correct about 95% of the time (Amazon gets it wrong sometimes). From what I can see, it's under Kitchen (20% cashback today). Thanks.

        • Thanks, I get it now, just ordered my Panasonic bread maker.

I have it in my wish list, removed it before add it to cart, also needed to remove the amazon credit before payment, hope all good.

        • ill take that as a yes, i appreciate the reply.

  • are international products that appear on amazon AU but are sold by amazon UK eligible?

    • +1

Yes, 100%. Purchases from Amazon US/UK etc are eligible for cashback provided the transaction is made via Amazon AU. Don't go copy/pasting links. You must navigate via Amazon AU. Hope this helps.

  • just an aside, do any retail stores ever do a price match for Amazon deals? i.e. this one or black friday or any other deals? Thanks. I want to get an airfryer, but concerned if anything goes wrong after 1 month, it will be too much of a hassle to get it fixed, compared to a bricks and mortar store where I can take it back to them and get them to sort it….either replacement, refund or repair etc
p.s. I also have Home gift cards to use up as well, so would prefer to get the item from TGG or JB etc if possible

    • The good guys have massive writing on the front of there shop saying they will beat any price online. But when you try they are so difficult and sneaky and always say no. i gave up a long time ago.

  • If I cancel an order from yesterday and re-order today for a higher cashback rate will CR reject the cashback? (since it is obvious what I have done) or do they treat every transaction on its own?

Obviously, purchases from yesterday will get denied because I cancelled it but would they use the first one that tracked or the first one I purchased to qualify for the extra $5 off?

Tracking confirmation orders were different to the times orders were placed.

  • @tightarsen part payment by gift card balance and debit card is eligible?

    • As per the terms posted in the deal I belive you are ineligible:

Cashback is ineligible on the following:

      • Purchases paid with any Amazon credit as partial or full payment.
    • Gift card OK, not Amazon Credit and also not from your wish list.

  • How long does it take track? I bought something this morning and haven’t gotten a tracking email. I bought a wifi extender if that helps.

  • Anyone else noticing that some Amazon devices are showing blown out estimated delivery times? e.g. the Kindle Paperwhite shows Estimated delivery: Sep 20, 2023 – Sep 26, 2023 - Daaaaa fark?

  • Anyone else with Prime having very long delivery ETAs?

All items from Amazon AU, 23/24th July ETA.

    • yes, im noticing that too

    • Same, my Panasonic bread maker.

    • i understand they are busy but i hope it doesnt take that long, items i bought on the 8th havnt even turned up.

  • +5

Hi guys. Amazon tracking is starting to filter through now for yesterday's sales (12/07/23). Note that transactions report to Cashrewards based on category (once tracking for one entire category in complete, it moves onto the next one). So if you made an order with multiple items from different categories, you’ll need to be patient until the others track later. Due to the enormous size of the transactional report, this will take most of the day to complete. Thank you :)

    • Great explanation Sir tightarse. Thank you.

    • I've got no tracking from order on 11th (for bonus cashback) as well as nothing yet from an order yesterday. Is that normal?
Ordered through cashrewards app -> amazon mobile site.

Update: Just got tracking from 12th, but still nothing from 11th.

    • I bought this item which was selling for $39.99 on the day.

      https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0BR91JH61/

Today I received a tracking notice for only $4 (10%). I thought it would come under 'Kitchen' category?

      • Today it is even cheaper $38.99 - 15% coupon to apply = $33.14 and no waiting for cashback.

        • haha good point

    • Still no tracking for my 11th order. Guess I should follow up…

      • Are you sure you didn’t have items in your cart prior and followed the terms?

        • Yep. Went direct from cashrewards app. Searched for MX master, then added to cart. From memory I did have to log in to my Amazon account before checking out (didn't on the 12th purchase as I was still logged in). That's the only difference in the 2 processes. But surely that wouldn't matter?

          • +1

@NigelTufnel: Ping me on Monday via PM and I’ll do some digging to see what I can do. Talk then :)

    • I don't suppose Amazon devices are at the back of that list.

My Kindle order from the 11th hasn't tracked. Used the app, no ad blockers, wasn't in my cart as I really wasn't thinking about buying it until the upsized cashback came up in addition to the prime day prices, so just searched. Didn't leave the cashrewards app in anyway, at all. I swiped down my notification shade to check my Adguard and then went out and clicked through again to be safe. It might have been wishlisted way back though, I can't recall.

  • Cashback tracked just then but the cashback rate was 8% vs the 20% expected.

I purchased a lodge cast iron pan - surely this is categorised under kitchen. I even followed the instructions to determine the category and its “Kitchen and Dining”.

    This is what I purchased:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Lodge-L8SK3-Skillet-Helper-Handle/…

    • Similar to me

    • i also got a much lower cashback than expected using TA's advice. i might cancel my order.

i think you need to lookup the item using camelcamelcamel and then down the bottom look at the product group

for your item camelcamelcamel suggests a product group of "lawn & patio", maybe lawn & garden @ 8% https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B00006JSUA

looks like they jacked up the price just in time for prime day

    • How in the world is a cast iron pan classified as “lawn and patio” under product group. If you look on camel, the category is “Kitchen” which makes more sense.

A 12% difference for a product that clearly falls under “Kitchen” is disappointing…

      • i agree. i have nfi why it would be classified as lawn & patio, i'm just correlating the product description with the cashback you received

clearly using the bolded category in the top left on amazon is bollocks

mine said home improvement on amazon but the product group on camel is tools. i got 1% instead of 10%

        • Lucky my bread maker is under Kitchen from camel.

  • Not that I'm complaining, but did everyone else get the Cashback discount on the ex GST amount instead of the full amount? ie. $25.27 (20%) of $126.36 instead of $139 - base Kindle.

    • That is normal.

      • Other products I've bought, the Cashback discount was based on the price inclusive of GST.

    • Isn't that correct? ex GST?

  • Bought a fire tv cube for 20% cashback on the last night of prime sale. Still not showing up on my cashback account.

    • I have my CR click history at Wed, 12 Jul 2023, 5:27 pm SYD. for the fire tv cube for 20% cashback as well, but nothing in my Reward activity

  • Mine never tracked. Had to raise a manual ticket 2 days ago, every time I buy something on cash reward app I would screen print the order confirmation showing CR app. Still waiting for CR to raise the tracking manually.

  • Dang, nothing seems to appear; I should've opted for Shopback instead. Never trust cashrewards again.

    • Just report it from click history

      • Reported it about a week ago, never heard back.
