I think I'd get more use out of this for $100. Amazon and Bunnings show $140 rrp but camels says its been a solid $120.

But I've got a $70 gift card burning a hole in my pocket.

    • Horses for courses, I do a lot of log splitting and have been hanging out for a deal on the hookaroon for ages. The XA23 also looks like a good deal though and you can't go wrong with the Fiskars range in my experience

      • Same here - the maul sends bits flying and an XA22 would save a lot of bending over.

Have also had my eye on the XA23 (lots of Spanish Heath to deal with) but don't think I can justify the prices yet.

Maybe I'm old enough to stop being such a tightarse and just get the right tool for the job.

      • I have an XA22 and it's an absolute game changer, it has easily doubled my productivity on the firewood because I don't get as tired having to bend down all the time.

It's also really good at dragging massive logs that you just cant get a hold of, just watch your shins!!

That looks like the go to tool for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
Still, $72.80 is $72.80, I think I'll scavenge one later.

  • I wish I could come up with some reason why i needed this… Look at that damn thing
