        They can't show it is illegal but it would be on the bottle (fake). It is not a suggestion to buy, just that there are LOTS of fakes around. So whoever buys at half price risks to have a fake. Not saying yours is necessarily fake just suspicious

            @pacificstorm: If you want Chanel bite the bullet and buy from high street stores, or duty free if you have the chance, it is expensive but the bottle lasts forever and you don't need much to project the fragrance around. Lasoo I don't know them, sorry.

    Chanel fragrances are the most faked out there, and Chanel are notorious for locking down the prices retailers can sell their products for.

    I personally haven't heard of this store, and the fact it retails for ~$230 makes it incredibly suspicious.

      Hi Ned - we're a newer Marketplace, so we sell products at a loss from time to time to gain exposure and build customer base. Were also owned by an ASX listed business, so selling fakes would be very damaging to our brand in a number of ways. Appreciate you taking the time to comment anyway - all the best!

      100% - we accept returns on all products. If a seller was selling fakes on our platform, Customers would be refunded, and the seller would be banned.

    Sounds a bit too good to be true. Someone on here suggested Club de nuit Iconic by Armaaf.. I was sceptical but post Covid the fragrances prices have gone el loco so gave it a try. I must say I am pretty surprised.. its 95% accurate,to my nose, however does not last as long and opening notes are different than the original. If buying Chanel Id say stick with duty free or big labels..Myers etc

      My understanding is that OzBargain exists so that people/businesses can post outstanding deals that the community can purchase. I posted this deal as a representative of Lasoo, because it's a great deal. If people choose to shop at Myer/Duty Free, I can respect that, but to say this is "too good to be true" is just a little disrespectful really. I'm sharing the best current deal from Lasoo in a community that is looking for bargains. If it wasn't such a great price, I wouldn't have taken the time to share with everybody here.

        Hi @dmcain - I don't believe the community is not appreciative of the deal, i really want to pull the trigger myself but chanel products never go on sale, also there are a lot of fakes and people have been burnt including myself from top-rated seller on ebay. To save $70 (David Jones price is $230) and even having a slight chance on getting a fake, return, time spent sorting it out - seems undesirable.

        Also, - it's not lasso, it's the 3rd party seller really.

          All good @bansid I can understand and respect your perspective. Correct that it's a third party seller as well, but Lasoo assumes the risk. ie. if anything happens to be fake/faulty/fraudulent, its us who are liable, and compensating the customer is our responsibility.

      You are correct sir, I purchased this and its fake… Best test is the lid test, a genuine bottle you can lift up easy by the lid when the fake the lids pulls off. Lucky to have a genuine bottle that was running out to test with.
      I will go to Myers/DJs and just pay the full price :(

        Really? Does this smell anywhere near the orginal? This is a bad outcome. I have mine waiting at the post office for collection, i guess we need to file in a return. @dmcain - Perhaps you can help with return process?

          The smell is ok but different. I have been using it for years and can notice the difference. But I had a genuine (Nearly empty) and the fake side by side and you can definitely smell a difference. Biggest issue with fakes is the scent never lasts long!

    Just signed up to OzBargain as this is where I found the deal. I hesitated in purchasing this with the huge amount of fakes in the market. Sadly this is a fake too. The box has serial number in the wrong place and the lid isn't magnetic like my old running out bottle.
    As the old saying goes, if its too good to be true then it is! At least I was smart enough to use paypal.

    Quick update, Lasoo reached out and apologised for fake and they have handled this really well with a refund and store credit. When they say they take fakes seriously, they mean it!

      Thanks I've added information to the top now.

      Dmcain has to undertake the penalty for posting illegal / counterfeit products because there is no other rep that represents the merchant. The penalty is very short though and it's about to expire in an hours time.
