RM have 2 different suppliers of the same leather I believe. One of the tanneries is in Italy and the other one is in Australia from what I was told in the store when I grabbed my pair.
I guess my next question is which one is which
I picked the italian one - in the chestnut the difference was the Italian hide was a richer redder colour and more shiny where as the aussie one was more matte an muted.

OK I reached out to support, and they said it's cause I'm not part of the rewards program. Support couldn't figure out why I can't join it and just left the chat support. lol.
I had a quick look at the rewards FAQ and it seems like I need to opt in for email which I wasn't. I opted in just now but still the same.

Had the same problem with no discount at checkout. Spoke to support and they asked for a screenshot of the discount not being applied. They said that the difference ($129.8) will be refunded and sent a confirmation email to that effect. Bit of an inconvenience, but still possible!

There was a better deal last month for 30% off at Iconic however this is what I've discovered. Iconic is a stockist for RM Wiilliams and the sales they have may be because they are trying to get rid of old stock (old as in at least a year old). The 2 pairs I got were made around early 2022. I was able to go to RM Williams in QVB and exchange them for a bigger half size (they only let you go half size up or down, the rep told me that he wouldn't exchange colour or material)
and the pair I now have was made earlier this year.
Honestly, don't know how much the age of the boot matters besides I suppose how long the leather has been sitting in storage, unconditioned. But well now you know.
I got the chestnut comfort craftsman 9-H (wide fit). So here's what I don't know. I went to the rm williams store and cracked open 2 boxes of the same boot. One pair had black stiffer leather on the upper inner heel, the other pair had brown leather, much softer. Both were made this year. I'm wondering why there's a difference in materials.
