The Kamasu is a fantastic watch for sub $300. The Orient movement in this watch has tighter factory tolerances than the movement you will find in most Seiko powered watches in this price category. Green is a popular colour and probably the best deal of all of the watches I've posted.
The crown is objectively the only negative for this watch, it can be quite fiddly to use.
The bracelet is not amazing but it is appropriate for this price point. Functionally, the bracelet is fine. With plenty of micro adjust points, you will find a good fit.

Personally, I don't think these Bambino variants are not the best that they offer. However, I don't mind the look of the black, rose gold & stainless steel on tan strap.

Bambino Green & Gold, Black Strap $162
Bambino Black, SS & Rose Gold, Tan Strap $163 ($194)
Bambino Black & Rose Gold, Black Strap $163 ($196)
Bambino White & SS on Brown Strap $165
Bambino Black & SS, Black Strap $162
Kamasu Black & Gold, Rubber Strap $230

    Nisu!!!
The Kamasu is a great watch for the price.. I regret not buying the president when they were out

Would make a great first or only dive watch, worth getting the Kamasu over the standard ones.
Also wish they would make that crown bigger, looks odd not filling the gap and possibly flimsy as you say.

    • My biggest problem is the polish and coarse knurling. If the crown had the same finishing as the Kanno, it would be much easier to operate.

      • Hmm no idea but surely there could be a mod or replacement crown for these?

        • There probably is. Crown is pretty easy to replace.

          • @O15: Would be worth it, especially if have to set the day as well all the time. (I even Prefer no date as well these days for automatic, and suits the field watches).

  • It seems made in Japan, wow!

  • I haven't done research recently, but last i checked, Orient is a subsidiary of Seiko and is one of the few remaining brands in the world that are totally in-house… Even the oil used for lubrication is made in Japan by Orient.

The value that Orient watches offer is hard to match - at least as far as watch snobbery goes haha.

    • Agree, I like them.
Could just get a steeldive 1970 for $100 and it would be just as good, a little less dressy thou.

    • They are still Seiko Epson.
After installing many Epson projectors and only really knowing Epson for projectors and printers, I was a bit amused to see Epson on the back of my mechanical watch.

  • Damn, been eyeing the black for a while. But so tempted to pull the trigger on this green. Nice find OP.

    • Waiting for the Sun and Moon.
