Does anyone have experience with getting their screen protector replaced, particularly at the Oakleigh VIC service centre?
I intend to drive by to see if I can wait for my screen protector to be replaced. I don't imagine this to be a big job, however I've been told a few different things by Samsung care (via phone and in store) that they might need to wipe the data and that they cannot take walk-ins and I will have to leave my phone with the for a few days.
There isn't even a direct number to call and the Samsung care person I spoke to over the phone said to head down and speak with the receptionist.
Just curious to know if anyone has tried doing this, if it is possible to wait for a screen protector replacement? If I have to hand in my phone for a few days and risk my data getting wiped, I will buy my own screen protector and never buy another flip phone. I've had the flip 3 and 4 and they have been great aside from the screen protector cracking and lifting at the hinge on both models.
I've had the screen protector replaced on my Flip 4. The replacement protector has lasted about 6 months.
I can't comment on the Vic service centre, but the one in Adelaide was happy for me to put my phone in maintenance mode.
Screen protector replaced, no wiped data. I think the "we might have to wipe your data" thing is an arse covering excercise.
