Sound processing has… Bluetooth chips, Noise Cancelling chips… All have evolved…
They have changed… but that doesn't change these headphones. They still are great. They get the reported battery life, they have the reported connection abilities etc. You are thinking more of features, like faster connection, larger BT connection distance, more efficient battery use, lower latency, faster switching between devices, ability to use "Hey Siri". Apart from these, the headphones still sound the same as they did on release, and still perform the same. just because they are old, doesn't make them suddenly useless. They still work and still sound great.
General sound processing hasn't really changed for wireless headphones, noise cancelling has improved for sure, but there are still new headphones with ANC that suck. So your argument is entirely irrelevant. You could get lossless codec headphones, but really who are you joking that you listen to them in a soundproof room to compare anyway right?
