Any difference with Listerine despite of price ?

    • Yh this may have less alcohol if you compare to listerine with alcohol

      • +1

Listerine alcohol free ? No difference ?

        • +1

The Listerine formula was basically a snake oil product from the 1800s with all sorts of weird ingredients and claims. Look up the history.

I would rather a modern product with Fluoride even with cetylpyridinium chloride.

This one uses a antiseptic instead of alcohol. Shouldn’t burn as much compared to the original listerines. Not sure which one is more proven.

Priceline say %20 off. 9.99 down to 2:99. That's way more than 20%.

    • Price error may be?

      • RRP error you mean.

        • No RRP is $10 everywhere. Might've been meant to be $7.99 rather than $2.99

    Oos again

  • My dentist once told me, a mouth wash must have either zinc or hydrogen peroxide in it or else it's just expensive water.

    • -1

      Interesting

    • +4

Zinc helps avoiding inflammation and hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria, like alcohol does, so it's not either-or and also not like without those the mouthwash is useless…

Your dentist might have exaggerated or there might have been more context to it, but it's generally good to know WHY.

My hygienist once told me mouthwash is a waste of money and I could stop if I wanted.

So I stopped using it and next time I went she commented I had much more plaque this time.

There are good and not so good mouthwashes but they work.

    • Isn't hydrogen proxide a kind of bleech?

      • Yes it is. It's in a lot of whitening toothpastes

  • Colgate Optic White Teeth Whitening Mouthwash, 500mL, with Optic Brightener, Alcohol Free https://amzn.asia/d/6sjsJgM

    • That's expensive, 80c/100ml.

  • Priceline is saying $4.99
