Google Pixel 7 Pro Tempered Glass Screen Protector Recommendations

Hey guys, I just recently bought a P7P and I've been trying to find a good tempered glass screen protectors.

I've bought 4 different ones from 4 different sellers from eBay and Amazon and they all arrived as edge-to-edge (the ones that only have adhesive on the edge of the tempered glass and not the ones that stick throughout). I don't like these because they make the screen not as sensitive to touch; often times I find myself having to push forcefully on the edges to register an action. There's no indication of what kind it is on the listings. They all just say tempered glass. Some shows the correct picture and some shows a deceiving picture.

Has anyone managed to buy one that is full adhesive tempered glass? Can you link me? Thank you.

  • The pixel has a screen protector setting that increases the sensitivity. Is it enabled?

    • It is. I like using the swipe left or right as a back button rather than using bottom screen buttons, but it doesn't register correctly unless it press harder or swipe multiple times. Same with typing, the letters near the edge of the screen requires a stronger press to register.

I have a P6P and ended up getting a custom film one cut for me at a phone store. It's been almost two years since I had it applied and screen is still intact. I'd get it again if my next phone also has a curved screen (please no)

If you're willing to spend the money, white stone dome will be the best screen protector you've ever used

    • O_O $80! I'm a bit clumsy and drops my phone occasionally. I can't imagine shattering an $80 screen protector lol… I usually just get $15 ones and I've been through quite a few shatter ones that protected my screens. Thanks for the recommendation!

I bought this one for my Pixel 7a and I'm very happy with it. Tempered glass…you just pop it on and the whole glass sticks and the bubbles magically disappear. It does come with an aligning/fitting tool, which makes it easier. Hopefully you can find something similar to fit your model.

I just changed the sensitivity rating in settings and it works fine with fingerprint scanner too.

Curved screens are no good for tempered glass protectors, I tried a bunch of cheap glass screen protectors with my old Galaxy S9 and my Pixel 7 Pro, all of them were crap. I eventually bit the bullet and bought a Whitestone dome protector, it's expensive and the install is a bit complicated but it has been incredible. I should have just bought one from the get go and not wasted money on multiple cheap protectors.

If you're not interested in spending that much coin I can recommend a TPU screen protector, they don't feel like glass and they're not as durable, but they're cheap and work well with the curved screen.

    • Hey! I ended up getting the amFilm TFU ones. I remember using this back in the iPod touch days and hating the touch feel of it because it causes a lot of friction when playing games. But it's actually not bad and it's very smooth to the touch after installing it! It's thin enough that it seems like there's no screen protector on it too. Thank you!

I got this one, but it was cheaper before, ~$35.

Looks to be a whitestone clone.
You do get three glass protectors with it.
Applied using glue (use the whole tube!)

Screen still very responsive, didn't have to redo the fingerprint sensor either.

    • I also got this one, I'm very happy with it - fits perfectly and still just as responsive.
