[Answered] Alternative Single Outlet Surge Protector

Hi all

Might be a silly question, but I see the need for such an item around the home.

Normally single outlet surge protectors for white goods have a top side component (the surge protector sticks out at the top).

I am after a single outlet surge protector that has the componentry at the bottom, or has a swivel to its componentry so that it can be positioned as you need it.

Is this something that is available in Australia?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I am aware that I could flip the wall outlet face plate as an alternative.

What about one of these cheap adapters (get them from Coles) facing downwards attached to a regular single slot one like Belkin SurgeCube?

  @Hybroid thanks for the suggestion. The thor ones still have their componentry at the top. It's more in spots where there it no space at the top of the wall outlet.
  
  I've seend double adaptors with surge protection and at this point they seem to be the only option I can see.

  My preference is to have the single outlet version if such a thing exists.
