Temu: 20% Cashback (New Customers) / 10% (Existing) @ TopCashback

203

Looks like TopCashback are offering 20% cashback on Temu for new customers, and 10% for existing. Personally, I haven't used Temu, so can't really vouch for it. But, posting this deal nonetheless in case some folks here are interested.

Be sure to read the T&Cs (particularly the bit about not using other codes/vouchers as that invalidates cashback) in case you do plan to shop :)

Referral Links

Referral: random (3467)

Referrer gets $35, referee gets $10 (after $10 of earned cashback within 180 days of signing up).

Also, if your an existing/new Temu customer ShopBack is offering 10.5% Cashback today.

They are reliable but you need to know your pricing as some of their stuff is quite overpriced.

    Thank you for posting -

However I find Temu SO dodgy. The whole 'referral' thing relies on fake gambling minigames (which actually have predetermined results) while trying to get you committed to making a purchase / spamming others with ref links without actually giving you the reward.

That fish game lmao. I was like surely it's not that easy, each time I fed a fish it filled up about 60%. Then I got to the last fish to get my "free" prizes and then it went down to like 0.5% 😂

It's down to 0.01% increase for me now, at 88% full

It's the future of apps for the tik tok gen.

      Scary

Its designed very cheekily, I downloaded it for the first time the other day & did the "5 Free Gifts" thing, I just referred myself on a few old phones.

It's very misleading in the sense that the amount you get per referral towards what you need for the free items reduces drastically as you invite more & more people/get closer to the goal. In the end had a bit of a sunken cost fallacy and used two old iPads to get it over the line. Will be interested to see the quality of the shit that rocks up, not expecting much for free but worth a crack

      • +2

Figured it would just keep decreasing the amount forever haha. How many devices did it take?

        • +2

To get the 5 gifts I ended up having to use my personal phone, my work phone, an old iPhone 6, an old iPhone 8 & then the two iPads.

So six devices total, I found a discord with people swapping existing user codes (where you like search someones code and they count as a "existing user referrals" it contributes less then a new user referral & it only let me do it that way 4 times)

Once the amount you get per referral starts cutting in half it does so every referral until it hits 20 cents for each one (at least that was the case for me)

I was over it by the time I'd gone through 4 phones but stuck it through as I'd already dumped an hour of time into it. Hopefully the crap that rocks up ends up being worth it. The 'pro' style microphone with pop filter & desk arm is the main reason I didn't tap out, needed one for a while now.

edit: also if you end up doing this yourself, do know that the amount you get for a referral is also reduced if the app is already downloaded on the device - you have to download via the actual referral link to get the highest amount

Referral programs aside, it does have pretty good deals there.

Temu was spot on recently that I used them with their delivery and refund. So far so good.

After making 2 purchases there, I really dont like the experience with Temu

It feels incredibly predatory, the coupons they dangle in front of you come with conditions not noted in all the promos, so many dark patterns implemented, minimum purchase of $30 or else they just don't process your order

        • Yeah their false/misleading advertising is pretty blatant. I went into above how scammy the referral program is and my experience getting the 5 free gifts, which have actually since been shipped.

Well somehow my dumbass still fell for their bullshit after that. Got the 120$ coupon for purchasing 3 items offer & thought (profanity) it why not just order the 3 cheapest items I can (that meet the minimum order total of 20$)

Ordered the 3 items for around 21$ thinking that I'd be getting a 120$ coupon, they didn't have any terms/rules viewable on the offer so surely right? Wrong! the '120$ coupon' is actually like a bundle of around 5-6 coupons that all vary like for example 10$ off a 20$ order, 30$ off a 70$ order etc etc.

I did get lucky in the sense that due to that 21$ order being my first order with them, its seemingly been cancelled/put on hold unless I choose to verify that I am the legitimate owner of my bank card.. Think I'll just be waiting for the refund, coupons stayed on my account but they expire within 24 hours of course lol.

Overall can't really complain too much considering the '5 free gifts' have actually been sent out & tracking number provided, but how misleading & scammy these guys marketing is has pretty much guaranteed they will never be getting a paid order from me in future

Some investigative journalism into teemu and its parent company PDD Holdings

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=20_TlrrB3W4&feature=share8

    • Sounds a lot like other Chinese marketplaces. Certainly a lot worse off at Foxconn than PDD that's for sure.

Temu is rubbish! All their "5* reviews" are fake marketing too. Try post a negative review and see if your friend can see it.
Bought 3x board and card games off there.
They are cheap fakes, all 3 of them.

Ink was running off back of card imprinting fronts.

Colour used on an expansion mismatched the original I had so you can't integrate the games.

Pop-out tokens were misaligned and tore when attempting to pop them out.

The box was just wrapped with another misaligned sticker and has words skewing over the edges.

They didn't make it easy to get a refund either. Will avoid. Better to pay more and make sure the money goes to the original developers
