I found a sign up bonus for a relatively new crypto exchange (8 months). Hasn't been posted before.

Pretty straightforward

  1. Sign up with referral
  2. Do KYC for initial $10
  3. Deposit $100 for the extra $20
    $30 total

Note: referral only credited 12am the following day.

    • I had same issue on my iphone se. Then switched to android tablet and it worked. The website displays like a pos so try scrolling left and right.

    • Not instant, I just did a transfer and it's in "Processing". It does reflect the $100 balance I transferred.
      Also didn't get referral for verification yet.

          Some banks have a 24 hold or block crypto deposits altogether. Looking at you CBA.

            @Outrageous: CBA has often a hold to new PayIDs (not transferred to before, which defeats the purpose a bit of PayID).
            But it's not the outgoing transfer that's the issue, as Virgo sees the exact amount I transferred in, they are just not processing it.
            So my $100 is floating around somewhere, just not in my account.

  • If deposit worked, it means KYC worked, right? I got a weird error message after my ID check but it didn't ask me to redo it.

  • I personally used it quite often as i found the spread is a lot tighter than majority of exchanges i had used.

    also they charge no fee for withdraw, deposit and cross wallet transfer

  • Signed up, failed auto kyc but was very promptly manually approved, deposited $100 using payid and virgo showed funds in about 2 secs. Just waiting until 12am now to get the bonus cash and we’re off to the races with more free money baby!

      Seems the only way to contact is their form (linked to zendesk).
      Account is verified now (manually). I transferred to PayID (via Ubank), I can see the incoming transfer at Virgo, but balance is not available and shows as "processing".
      After 5 hours, no update and money still stuck for me.
      No option to call anybody, so web support is the only way to go as far as I can see.

  • KYC failed on the first selfie (camera was way off-centre and zoomed in, it quickly autoshot only half my face). However, in the app it says account verified, does that mean they manually verified my account and I can now proceed with deposit? I can no longer find a link in app or web to try KYC again?

    • No it’s due to their site displaying very poorly on mobile devices. Scroll around when you think your stuck and you’ll see more

        • From memory… Click referral link, fill in details and click whatever the button is to proceed. I then remember a scrolling banner displaying and nothing else this is when you want to scroll towards the right of the screen. Before I realised this I tried to sign in and received the same error as you. Hope this helps

  • Mobile site is bloody atrocious… been trying to sign up like 10 times now and it won’t process.

    Have similar issues to the above comments but am still seeming to get it even on laptop/tablet.

    • Didn't work on my iPhone but works on a laptop, the email went to junk mail but as soon as I verfied it all went well.

          I now have support ticket on both Australian and Canadian site.
          Canadian website was by accident. I replied to an email I got from virgo, and then created new ticket via the link, but the email had Zendesk Canada link.

  • Deposited $100 via PayID over the weekend via Ubank (none of that 24hr hold BS like CommBank does), nothing as of yet - hasn't even entered my Virgo account.

    • That’s weird I did mine yesterday and it went straight into my account, just waiting on the $20 bonus.

        Concern is that it doesn't seem like there's any way to get support (ticket unanswered, no other way that I see to contact them).

      When I went into funds (bottom right), history (top right), I could see the amount in "fiat deposit" as processing.
      Which got confirmed after +-2 days for me.

      Bonus I still can't see after 4 days.

    Pretty easy here depositing from Up.
    My $10 bonus came in JUST before my $100 deposit got processed. So I'm guessing tomorrow morning the $20 should appear.

  • Interesting, my PayID deposit is 'Available' and I did the deposit seconds ago. Not sure why others are having issues with deposits reverting to 'On Hold' - I don't know if it helped but I put my full legal name as my reference when sending the deposit so maybe their system picked up on that?

    I wonder if the bonus will show up 12am tonight/tomorrow morning or whether it shows up on a 'Business Day'
    As soon as everything comes through I'm withdrawing, not chancing it with these random crypto exchanges just encase it's a last minute ploy to get more user $$$$

    Either way I hope whoever got my referral enjoys the extra $30 - Spend it wisely.

    • It's good you don't have any issues.
      If somebody does run into issues, don't expect quick responses from support, after more than a week now no response at all on the Australian Zendesk support portal. So you're entirely at their mercy. Doesn't look promising if you need to rely entirely on their system doing the right thing all the time..

      • @johnmelb Update the Zendesk ticket and threaten to go to ACCC and/or whatever governing body in Australia looks after registered crypto exchanges, that might expedite the response (Touch wood). Good luck, hope everything works out :)

    • You can I removed my 100 as soon as it finally cleared as I got scared about the platform but it's fine I still got referrals and also got my bonus despite taking my money out

  • Referral still not honoured and support ticket unanswered for 14 days now.
    Zendesk ticket on Canadian website was closed without addressing the issue (I unknowingly landed on Canadian site when clicking directly on a link I received via email from Virgo Australia).

    So there are people on ozbargain putting referrals in and not completing the steps themselves , hence virgo is not paying out referral.
    Nothing of that was mentioned during sign up.

    After reviewing your account, I noticed that the friend who referred you to our platform has not completed the verification process yet. As a result, the sign-up bonus is pending until their verification is successfully completed.

      Not guaranteeing they will be useful, but they do respond unlike Australian Zendesk
