Cheap Eats in Canberra on a Sunday

I’m going to be in Canberra on a Sunday (and I know a lot of places will be closed). What are your recommendations for a bargain breakfast and lunch with decent coffee? Any teenage-friendly exhibitions/activities on a shoestring? (I need tight-arse-Tuesday on a Sunday!)
Thanks

Goto uber eats, enter the address you will be at. It will show you everything open in the area on a Sunday if you check the schedule of the restaurants.

Canberra is not Adelaide, I am not aware of many or even any places not being open on Sundays here.

    • Even Coles and WW with alcohol open till late lol

    • All the cheap options that came up when I googled (before I posted here) don’t open on Sundays

where you are staying might assist.

Bargain breakfasts are not that easy to find, if you want cheap then just go to McDs or buy some yoghurt and fruit in the super market etc. Cheap eats tend to be Asian, so you may not get a good coffee with that.

cheap activities - the war memorial (even for cynical teens), national gallery, parliament houses (old and new), national portrait gallery - all free apart from special exhibitions at the galleries.

Ikea is an option. Nothing amazing but on the cheaper end. Coffee is average.

Other option is heading up to Gold Creek. Plenty of activities for teenagers up that way. Some really good cafes/pubs up that way as well. My go to is Cafe Injoy - big serving sizes and good coffee (plus no weekend surcharge).

If you don't already have the Entertainment Book, get it…

You'll find lots of discounts for both food and activities.

You can get a 3 month version for $29.99 if you didn't get it for 99c the other week.

    • I wish I had taken up the 99c offer!
The old Entertainment book was a collection of single-use vouchers. Is the digital version the same, or do you have an on-going discount at the nominated businesses?

      • Is the digital version the same

Redeem via the app… Can only redeem each offer once. (unless you purchase more than one book)

Old Bus Depot Markets has some pretty cheap food and some interesting stuff to look at for an hour or so.
