LG G3 EVO OLED TV 65" $3850, 55" $3050, 77" $5950, 83" $7750 + Delivery ($0 to Selected Cities) @ Appliance Central

280

I was about to break my bank and buy a G3, only for the price to drop as I was about to buy! Also available discounted at $4,295 on the LG website and bunch of stores such as JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Bing Lee, Domayne, Bi-Rite and Retravision. Slightly cheaper at VideoPro as well at $4,170 excl shipping but the cheapest I found was on Appliances Online! Enjoy!

EDIT: Sorry it's my first time posting a deal and I'm tired. I added prices for the other sizes. For the standard brick and mortar stores this is basically a $1,000 discount, or from the most discounted listing I've seen at VideoPro before it's about $500 or $600 something cheaper now.

Good price for the 83. Shame it’s not MLA.

    • +1

Damn I didn't actually know that, looks like no MLA on the 83 (77 is the highest one). I panicked for a minute since I just got the 65".

      • Yep. They’re naughty as it’s not well noted. I’m waiting for CES in Jan to see if they manage to get MLA into the 83 G4.

RBA is right… more rate hikes coming

    • 😂

    • Sydney train was in chaos cos 1 person had a sickie.
Maybe Mr. Lowe was unwell last Tuesday.

      • Yes probably. He will be back next month

  • Would it be still worth it to get G2 65”?

    • yeah, for under $3k
you dont get much of a difference between models each year

      • +1

Nice, I’m not sure why you got downvoted 😒

        • probably those that buy new tv each year and are happy to pay $3k for extra brightness

        • Because the difference between the G2 and G3 brightness capabilities is significant so that was bad advice.

          • -1

@7hil: there you go - pay $1k for brightness :)
RBA needs to pump those rates to 10% I swear

            • +1

@botchie: The brightness is a game changer. Plus there are other improvements.

              • @serpserpserp: i think you need an *** to this
unless your an AV enthusiasts and have money to spend on small things most wont notice yes, sure spend the extra $$
is it worth it is subjective
If you only want to pay under $3k for a TV - which is still hella expansive when you can get 65 incher for under $1k then a g2 or even g1 is a great buy and a great tv
if you have deep pockets then you wont care what you spend and go for g3 - then next year g4 etc etc

                • @botchie: Yeah sure. But this is the OLED market. It is like comparing petrol cars to EVs, do basically the same thing, but how they work are different. So if you are committed to buying an EV for instance, you are paying a premium for a car. Now you just need to decide to pay the premium for the features. Given the fairly big leap in features this year, I'd pay 30% over last year's model available. Remembering that last year, that model was the same price

    • The G3 on all models up to 77 uses MLA technology which the G2 didn't have. Brightness is massively improved so if you can afford it, go for the G3 definitely not the G2

    • I got the C2 65" last month and it is honestly super bright. I've turned the brightness down to 70 I think. I haven't tried viewing with the curtains open the the TV faces, but I'm surprised people need so much brightness.

      • When you watch 4k movies with dark scenes you'll be pumping that brightness.

  • Can anyone confirm if this comes with a stand included?

    • I'm curious too. The G3 (like the G2 and G1) don't in the US, but the G1 did in Australia, so hopefully this one does also!

    • No it doesn't

    • Pretty sure the G3 does this time round compared to the G2 from last year.

    • only if you get the g3 direct from lg, they throw it in… otherwise its a sep purchase from stores…

      • Damn it, how much is the stand alone?

        • lg standa like 300-400. dont buy it anyway its a pos. it stands the screen tilted back. just buy a sanus stand or something… cheaper, way more stylish too. pretty much all the stores have em and should give you a deal.

  • Does Harvey Norman price match Appliance Central in VIC?

    • Yes

    • Would be sweet if you could get the soundbar deal on these prices.

Yesterday's deal on the 77" is better than this isn't it? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/785912

    • Yep. Paid $5300 yesterday for the 77" + (crappy) sound bar. (sound bar 20% offer + extra 5% with bupa gift cards)

    • Yes - not sure why anyone would pay more with this deal. Yesterday's cheaper and get a soundbar that you can sell.

      • Could you return the sound bar to jbhifi next week for a refund

    • cheaper again with HN, but if you have 15% off JB then…

Extra brightness = extra burn in?

    • no. not due to how mla is working. lg gaurantees those issues better than any other manu too.

  • When I went to website few minutes ago, it is $100 (55") to $1000 (83") more than the price quoted here. Do I need a code?
    Thank you.
