  • Good deal. I checked these out a couple of weeks back but was deterred by the $70 price tag

    • +1

I feel like they’re almost perpetually on sale on the crocs website with at least the newsletter 15% off code. I’m personally waiting for a good sale on the all terrain atlas series

    • +3

I bought some back in november last year, got down to $30/$35 for the two pairs I bought. At that price they're a no-brainer. Very comfortable and I find they actually hold up pretty well. Had a pair previous for about 10 years of use around the yard, the sole is worn down in some places and slippery for outside use, but they're the most comfortable pair of inside slippers i've got.

  • +3

Are the original branded ones better then the knockoff you can buy for a fraction of a price? I would assume so, but anyone with first hand (or foot) experience could share their thoughts?

    • +7

Yes, much better. Both in terms of initial comfort and durability. Original crocs also have a much thicker sole than the knockoffs.

Maybe not worth the retail $70 vs knockoffs for $10, but at $40 for crocs definitely worth it.

      • +1

        Thanks for that!

    • +1

Real ones are much better in the wet both washing my car at car wash and walking on wet tiles they dont slip. my fake ones from big w are horrible and very slippy.

    • +1

Got some $5 ones or something from Big W and the soles are so soft that stepping on anything other than flat ground is uncomfortable. Used to walk on my gravel driveway and the rocks would almost pierce through the soles

    • Reviews for $6 Kmart are that they are better than og. If no stock, they have restocks. YMMV though

  • +18

Only watermelon red colour is available for my size and I don't have the charisma to get away with those.

    • +8

      I believe in you!

      • +7

        Username does not check out

  • For some reason, I got the slate grey for $32.68 when added to the cart even though it showed the Prime discounted price as $39.99.

  • +2

Are Crocs cool or something? My nephew who collects sneakers is starting to wear them. Maybe he just saw someone he admires with them on.

    • +8

Yes they're considered "retro" since they're 20 years old now. Y2K is a big fashion trend at the moment, as is ironically ugly retro (Dad jeans/ugly jumpers etc). Having completely ruined the sneaker market, Hypebeasts have moved onto the next thing, in this case, $5 foam shoes. Check out the Balenciaga Crocs, or Lightning McQueen Adult Crocs if you want a laugh

      • Jordan system 23 my personal fave. The next trend is sock shoes, so even more minimal.

    • -1

      No.

  • +5

All the OzB surgeons should be pleased these are on sale

    • Thoughts on these having holes in them for a theatre environment? I work in theatre and was going to wear them…

      • -1

Does the Townsville Civic Theatre have a dress code policy?

  • +1

Not long back from Hawaii and every 2nd person was wearing Crocs especially the kids.

  • +1

Wait. Joke? $60 plus for crocs? Oh god. NO. NO. NOOOOOOO! OH GOD (If you know, you know).

    • How much do you usually pay for them - and are they genuine?

    • -1

Unfortunately that's what they cost now. I was looking a few months ago for a quick slip on shoe to wear outside and thought crocs might be a cheap option since I remember them costing about $15 at Kmart. Imagine the markup on these; they're expanded foam shoes!

Surely the market is ripe for a decent competitor to come in and undercut them with a similar quality product (as opposed to the cheap knockoff ones which are not the same quality).

  • -1

Crocs, just when you thought they were done and gone, they always manage to return.

Though I remember buying them for under $10 back in the day, must be getting old 👴

  • +2

You can get them on amazon regularly below this "deal" price. Just need to keep an eye on them for style/colour/price. Also good to check amazon US/UK/DE/JP for them too.

  • +1

I've got a pair in mint condition that have sat at the front door for 10 lonely years. I should leave them outside some high school for some teenage kid to find and think their christmases have come at once

I purchased them (even with the terrible stigma at the time) to go camping - thinking they would be great to wear in the shallow water and around the camp site. Turns out they were completely terrible for that purpose - sand and crap constantly in them, and the high ridges held a layer of water on top. Bare foot it was after an hour.

    • +2

Maybe not great for camping around water but for camping in the high country they’re great. Especially in winter. I can take my hiking boots off and straight in to crocs, can keep my socks on to keep warm. Super light and can strap them to the outside of my pack.

      • I've heard the exact same thing from other hikers. They weigh nothing so you just strap them to the outside of your pack and they go straight on your feet when you get out of boots.

What’s the difference in sizing between things like “11 US Women/10 US Men” vs “12 US Women/10 US Men” ?? They both appear to be 10 US Men’s but have different colours available

    • was wondering same for two listings for mens US 5

    • No idea what’s going on with sizing. I have a pair of navy M8/W10 Made in Vietnam from 2019. They are distinctly smaller than the pair of black M8/W19 Made in China I bought in this deal.

Maybe it because my Navy ones shrunk in the sun…

      • I normally put them in hot water for a while then let it cool abit and wear them to resize.

        • Does that shrink them slightly? I might give that a go…

  • Is it insane to buy white crocs?

    • No I have them. They look nice

    • Very popular with teenage girls

      • And butchers?

      • I'm not a teen, nor am I a girl.. but I still want them

    • nah as long as you keep them clean i think its a vibe - same as going white birk's

  • +1

Regretted not buying more when they were like $15 in 2019 sale

  • Have red already but been wanting white for awhile now. Thank you!

    cool story bros:

Everyone wears Crocs in Idiocracy (2006)
Costume designer had a limited $$.. figured the cheap tacky footwear by this new startup were futuristic looking, yet too stupid to actually become popular.

I personally wear them as a form of prophylactic.. great way to ensure no pregnancies occur.

    • -1

Following your logic, wearing Crocs as a prophylactic successfully now would mean that the future next generation i.e. Idiocracy would be the offspring of the people who didn't wear Crocs, so no one in Idiocracy would be wearing Crocs, OR you were misguided in your judgement and Crocs are actually an aphrodisiac
panty-dropper and future you has six kids and an insatiable wife

      • +1

didn't neg you.. i appreciate your response and will run experiments asap :)

  • Bought a pair in black. Thanks.

  • +2

    why? just why?

    • Outside of the fact they look ridiculous, they're a pretty practical shoe compared to thongs.

      Thanks OP ordered a pair.

    • +1

Comfortable. Light. Easy to clean. Waterproof. Secure.

  • Are these any better than SATIHU? I picked up a pair of SATIHU clogs for about $12 on taobao.

  • Thanks OP

  • any dark grey coloured ones?

  • ANYTHING LIKE CROCS BUT WITHOUT THE SIDE/HOLES?

  • -4

Couldn't pay me to ever wear crocs

    • Not everyone has your integrity

  • I just got the white clogs, perfect with my knee high white socks with the black tick of approval from Nike

  • Just got mine delivered… damn so comfortable!!
