Idk a helicopter starts at 500k, maybe has gone up.
Despite the apparent high price we are about $1,500 less than most Australian sellers. Iām just starting a side-venture and have a distributor agreement in place. The markup on these at other retailers is quite significantā¦
We are specialising in DJI Enterprise equipment which is specifically tailored for commercial/industry use - not so much consumer level drones.
What's the point of a thermal drone if you can't fly at night š¤
You can fly at night with the correct license and approvals.
Daylight options include looking for hotspots ie. electrical network.
Keep in mind that the enterprise series isnāt really your mainstream consumer drone. Theyāre certainly marketed at those using them for industry purposes.
They can be used in the day to check for temperature differences in structures (for example)
People who would be using this are unlikely to be ācontent creatorsā or influencers
I spoke to someone who use DJI drones with thermal cameras to count koala population and count the number of feral pigs on islands
Probably not for average consumers….but immensely useful in Ukraine war.
JOIN MARK HAMILL AND THE ARMY OF DRONES
Flying in winter a few hours either side of Sunrise/sunset will detect animals quite easily, Ive used thermals to detect animals all day under optimal conditions.
As Stuarty9 mentioned these are largely used for inspection/engineering work. They donāt need to be flown at night to use the thermal camera. It does fine during day time.
The sorts of industries who would use these hold a ReOC for night flying if needed.
Can we hitch a ride with this thing now? Sheesh.
I was watching a YouTube video a couple of days ago and their drone came up with a message on their remote screen saying military airspace auto descent on and then it landed in the sea. For reference the area was no longer a military site
Very useful in the Ukraine war…….
Yeah who is going to get it for them, DJI is under sanction by the US.
Like all Australian DJI resellers we are bound by an Export Control And Sanction Commitment agreement :-)
Are these useful for annoying neighbours you don't like?
Already equipped with perfect human detection system, but still need some weapon attachment to be useful.
Perfect for squatching
i didn't need it, but it would be awesome to have thermal imaging to play with.
Damm it is like buying helicopter so expensive š«
