Hi All!
I'm looking to replace my original AirPods and wanting to get the AirPods Pro 2. Do you think it's worth getting them now or wait until the USB-C case launch? I'm guessing the current case ones will drop in price then as well? It's very tempting to move all my devices to one standard charging cable type!
TL;DR for OP: Just use common sense, bruh.
Do you have an iPhone? Unless you are upgrading to the USB-C iPhone as soon as it comes out the lightning case will be better as you then only need to carry one cable.
I charge mine through MagSafe anyway. So if you're sure the port on the case is the only upgrade coming soon then I'd get them now, you can pick up a lightening cable anywhere.

Entire house and car is USB-C except for 3 idiot lightning devices left in the house, DYING to replace this garbage finally. Get it out and get it over with

I'd put off any Apple purchase till they have changed the ports over unless it's something needed straight away
I don't think this change alone is worth waiting for the next upgrade! You can charge is using wireless charger or with Apple watch charger and completely negate the need of UBC/lighting altogether.
Off topic, lately I have seen a lot of AirPods 2 ads on Marketplace selling them between $150-$200 with brand new. Does anyone have experience with those? These prices look too good to be true as they retail for higher price… any input will be helpful! Thanks
What USB-C case launch? You mean the rumours?
Extremely likely case coming out same date as iPhone 15.
Not positive but might see AirPods2 ship with USB-C in a new SKU too, hope so.
You can probably assume that the third generation pros will probably also get improvements to audio quality, noise cancellation and battery life
That's not coming this year, just a new case and maybe bundle (AirPods 2 with the new case, no old case, hopefully)
This will probably just be to meet EU requirement for USB C on devices.
Pro 2 can be charged by an apple watch charger too, if you have one of those!
If you have a wireless charger or dock then get them now.
If you have a Lightning-charged iPhone then get them now.
If you really need them now for work etc then get them now.
If you want to wait for USB-C then do so. It's a personal choice.
If you can wait till Sept to see if they release an update then do so.
