I Have $30-$45 Mobile Budget Which Carriers Should I Go with?

I need it for both call/text and lots of data (at least 50gig/month with data bank)

Ideally I want it split into 2 sims as I can't use mobile data (tethering on pc) when in a call with a single sim.
one for personal: makes unlim calls/text, use not much data (only when outside)
one for home: make only limited or zero calls/text, need lots of data for tethering

but if only 1 sim makes more sense then I'll go with that. At the moment 1x woolworths $35 plan seems the best option?

Willing to pay for a full year for extra bargain.
Which sim plans should I go with?

Are you creating wireless hotspot with your phone or is phone physically connected to your pc?

That's strange, I have been able to make calls on my Samsung S20 FE 5G even when it is creating wireless hotspot for my laptop.

        Could be a phone issue?

Likely OP has either has not enabled VoLTE or phone is not VoLTE compatible.

Sadly you just missed Kogan EOFY pricing: 365 days, 500GB $150, now selling for $300 - still better value than monthly post-paid assuming you can cash flow the annualised cost?

    • missed it :( it is a good deal

      • Keep your eye out though, they have these deals every 6 months or so (not useful for you today obviously)..

  • If you know a student, you can sign up to Circles.Life. They always have great student plans for 12 months.

I have been with them for 6 months and had no issues. They run on the Optus Network.

I pay $15 per month for 50 GBs. Free calls and SMS. Comparable to the Kogan deal.
