Cheapest Prepaid eSIM?

Hey all,

I am just wondering what the cheapest prepaid ESIM would be that's available??

Kogan sells one for $2, All I need the ESIM for is to receive codes via text message.

I don't need to make a phone call, data etc

I just need a fresh number.

    Optus Flex $1 eSIM plan. They might still have the 7 day free trial offer (haven't checked).

      The $1 option got grandfathered. Starts at $7 now, which you'd need to pay at least twice per year.

    Do you want the cheapest eSIM, or something that you can actually use? A Kogan eSIM (or physical SIM) is useless without a plan, and that costs extra.

    I'd suggest Amaysim's PAYG plan for $10 per year. Start with whatever deal is the cheapest at the time, then switch.

    EDIT: Amaysim also gives you the option of poking around for a number that you like the look of.

      Just need a esIM to receive codes when signing up to websites or apps.

      I have a plan, this is literally just as a spare for that purpose only.

      I won't need to use it for calls, or data.

    Download the optus app and check if the 7 day free trial is still active. I'm pretty sure it lasts for 6 months without a further recharge

    Inactive numbers are still able to receive texts for upto 6mths after the prepaid period ends which gives you plenty of time to port over to a new provider (for a cashback profit) before it runs out.

      I'm confused

      I don't want to change my number, I'm on a mobile plan just fine.

      I want an extra number, just to receive texts for fresh accounts on some apps.

    Best would be Optus, they have a free 7 day trial. Gomo (also owned by Optus) used to have 30 days free trial as well but not anymore.
