Just picked up one of these from a stand at the front counter of Mountain Designs while I was buying something else… damn you impulse retail marketing!! I only really wanted a bottle opener but it does a few other handy things and as it hugs an existing key it doesn't add any bulk or extra weight in your pocket so I thought it was a clever enough design to give it a try. Very well made and finished too, not just another POS gimmick.
There's nothing about it on the Mountain Designs website so they must only be in-store at the moment (only came in yesterday apparently) however I did a simple eBay search and the original price of $9.95 does seem legit so although maybe not a 'bargain' as such the sale price of $5.95 seems like a good enough deal. Original manufacturers website here: http://www.trueutility.com/pocket-tools-store/true-utility-k…
I might go get another one and pack it in my check-in baggage just in case it gets confiscated at the airport on my up and coming OS trip but as it wraps around a key I'm not sure it will be detectable. At $5.95 it's worth the risk anyway :) Enjoy!
A few questions. Does it come with the carabiner? I don't see a phillip screwdriver? How does the tweezer work?
