Looking for a gaming laptop in the 1000-1500 range for EOFY and found this sale with $400 off.
Seems quite good for the price as a mid range gaming PC. No idea on the actual performance

Isn't this Clevo rebranded? From what I've heard, build quality isn't a strength of the brand
No, Aftershock are based on the Tong Fang laptops. Metabox are the ones who sell the Clevo laptops.
Can I play tetris or sudoku with this one ? asking for friend
Yup that's value, though as always if you could stretch to a 2070 maxq or something for under $1800'ish you'd be doing well to keep up with most games
would you have any recommendation to share? thanks mate!
"The ARC A730M GPU delivers stunning graphics and smooth frame rates, making it the perfect choice for gamers and content creators alike".
I wonder why this non gaming laptop full price was $1,700.
The GPU is comparable to a RTX3050 so yeah good to play tetris and mahjong games.
If you want a gaming laptop, you need at least a 3070 or comparable GPU, also if your budget is $1,300, forget about gaming laptops.
Don't understand why some 15.6" laptops get rid of the numpad.
Slightly more expensive, but this has a 3070ti in it which will perform better, but it is $1.8K

A370M performance is extremely underwhelming:
Heres a Chinese review on the same Tongfang chasis: 12900H/370M struggle to beat 4600H/1650ti in benchmarks (skip to the 7:24 for comparison, fps benchmarks is half a minute earlier than timestamp)
But…but driver updates! Thats last years review so its old news!
Well…same chasis but 13500H/370M now nets only 7% fps uplift across all games(3:52 mark). This would still struggle to beat a 3050m.
Combined with a poor fhd 144hz panel? No deal.
Not to be that guy, but the lenovo ioq deal I posted still stands with a better cpu (esp for a thin n light machine with less thermal headroom), far better gpu, much better screen for only 33$ extra taking into account of current 14% cashback rate.
this
That
Not arguing for or against the value of this deal, but there's quite a large gap in performance between the Arc 370m and the 730m featured in this laptop.
The 730m uses a cut down Arc 770 die, whereas the 370m is an NVIDIA MX series replacement.
just below a 3060 mobile, but can't fault it. nice.
