Westinghouse WQE6000SB 541L French Door Fridge $1523.70 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ The Good Guys eBay

150
YIPPEE10

Original Coupon Deal

Looks to be a decent deal for this fridge. I've been tracking for a while now as this is one of the only french door fridges that is short enough to fit in my kitchen cavity. Appears to be the cheapest since been watching and usually hangs around $1800-$2000 between different stores. Looks to be matching the JB HIfi $1699 deal (amongst others), but with Ebay's YIPPEE10 code bringing it down further.

$1592 + $77 delivery at Good Guys Commercial for comparison.

Combine with Ebay gift cards for further discount.

Extras:

  • Ebay TGG deal: "Shop TGG in Jun, get $20 ($150 min spend) in Jul."
  • $10 store credit when viewing digital invoice (received after purchase)

Excludes: QLD Far North, WA Remote

  • How does the ice work? I need a new fridge but yet a lot of ice and don't want to plumb it in.

    • Standard non-plumbed Westinghouse ice tray - fill it up, then manually turn it and it falls into a tray.

If you want plumbed option it is the WQE6060SB (but don't think any good deals around on this)

I also had an issue of very limited height for the fridge. And I needed French door. So I bought this one. Very good price atm as well $1,038.60 with the code. I paid $130 more for it last year. Good quality fridge. Quiet. No issues so far.

    • Yes - that looks like a good deal also. We just really wanted the 4 door style (rather than drawer freezer). Sacrifices some freezer storage area, but we preferred it.

      • Same reason here, we downgraded from a pana to a hinsense in terms of storage volume (and may be quality as well), as freezer drawers are difficult to use than independant doors. Our pana was just a single, deep pull out drawer freezer.

  • OP please put 541L in the title.

  • how does delivery work with an ebay deal?

do they bring it upstairs and take the old one basically?

    • Upstairs? They'll bring it to the first level where your current fridge space is most of the time. Not sure if they remove your existing one and open your new one and put it in place though.

  • Does anyone know any french door large fridge where part of the freezer can be converted into a Fridge ? Hisense does that and its currently for $1444 https://www.harveynorman.com.au/hisense-609l-pureflat-quad-d…

I am not sure about the quality of Hisense though !

I got this when on sale earlier this month for $1288. The bottom right compartment can be switched between freezer and fridge.

      • Would you rather Haier or Hisense ? Or are they similar in terms of quality ! I have had Samsung before and they are a complete piece of shwite!

I've got a Samsung French door that I bought second hand for $500. Hasn't missed a beat even after 4 house moves.

having one Samsung for years. all good except freezer where it has design issue. onboard chip would not start the generator until freeze area temperature went above zero. all ice-cream and frozen food that require to keep the shave will change the shape due to large temperature gap.

Call support, no help, organised tech to check few times. was told by them it is design issue. they can't fix this. it designs to save energy so generator will not run too often.

14 year old Electrolux doesn't have this issue. some small problems do occasionally coming up but with simple easy fix.

Mate has Haier french door fridge for about 3 years. no issue at all.

if you are after cheap and bigger internal. Haier or Hisense is not a bad choice. otherwise. Westinghouse. similar price when you order one from JB HIFI with Wooli/Coles 10% off gift card.

          • @samedream: that Samsung design issue makes no sense at all. How can you have a freeze area that goes over zero ? I think my Samsung is about 8 to 10 years old.

            • @freesteakknives: then please explain why icecream were changing shape after one day in freezer. for example, bought 2 L ice cream from the shop, 2 mins walk from the shop. turn it sideway and put in freezer. open the icecream next day. icecream where frozen side way. it must melt then freeze again.

it is not only happen once. it keep doing it.

call Samsung Tech 4 times over 6 years for warranty claim, changing seal, changing controller chips, changing doors and etc. it sill does the same thing. Last 2 techs confirmed that is the issue with the controller board (design issue). they will report back to the company. and that is it.

this maynot be every model but it does happen to mine.

Family friend bough Samsung French Door 3 years ago, this issue doesn't happen to hers. but she has another issue which annoying her as well. LOL

not saying Samsung is bad but just too many unfortunate for this brand.

          • @samedream: I have a top freezer 6 year old Samsung. Another design fault. The drain tube that runs from freezer to the bottom of the fridge is very awkward. The drain hole is very narrow which causes even tiny debris to block. Once blocked water doesnt drain and starts accumulating as ice underneath the coil. After it breaking down on me like 10 times - I wrapped picture hanging frame wire from Bunning around the coil and inserted the end of it in the drain hole. Its weird. Have had no blockage issues since. Expected better quality from Samsung.

  • I dont get the click and collect, according to ebay every store in qld is out of stock for any fridge when trying to select the click and collect option
