  Looks like it'd be more ideal for the 3GS/3G since its a thicker build, I'd say the 4/4S would slide out quite easily. Also I wouldn't call it a case as its more of a cover with an exposed top

      And the fact that every phone/Tab/reader cover I have bought online the last few years is called "leather" and is obviously vinyl.

  don't know about other people, but compasses included with anything seems to be cosmetic rather than functional.
