    Tempted by some of these. May I suggest adding a few more details to the listings?

    Ram configuration: 1×8 GB RAM and 1×EMPTY, or 4 GB RAM and 4 GB RAM.
    Storage configuration: 1×250 GB 2.5" SATA SSD, or 1×250 GB 2.5" SATA SSD and 1×EMPTY M2 SATA.

    I am tying to pick a model that has some upgradability.

      Really would't expect more than three months. Some people have a use for them such as just using it for Word due to using Linux for the daily driver
      $200 bucks seems fair enough to me including postage, assuming rep is fair dinkum about the condition and battery condition

    I purchased 2 laptops from them today. One Dell E7270 and one Hp 840 G3. I purchased Hp 840 G3 with full listed price and paid. Can see that 10% of 840 G3 refunded back to me(Never asked) . Really impressed.

    Hmm I thought Windows 11 required an 8th gen CPU? How is this running on a 6th gen?

      The check for CPU can be bypassed easily (many references on Youtube and Google). I've got it running on a 11 year old Lenovo (3rd Gen Intel Core-I7 quad core).

      The only 'risk' you run into is that one day MS may decide to not provide OS updates (patches) to the unsupported CPU but that risk has been there for several years now.

      I have put Win11 on dual core and quad core CPUs, it struggles on Dual core (laggy) but Quad core handles it well it most cases. RAM will play a factor in responsiveness so 8 GB or better is recommended, 4 GB you can get by but you'll hit the limits pretty fast.

    Have the 5580, same chassis, you can fit a secondary SSD (not NVME) if your game, need to look at how I did it!

    Needs to have the SSD's enclosure cut down and a connector adapter and purchase a bracket

      This would share system RAM and is configurable in the BIOS. Usually they start out with a default of 256 MB but you can up this to several GBs if you wish, the in-built GPUs are basic so don't expect 3D games to do amazing. 2D games or retro games (emulators like NES) should run without a hitch.

    What would be a recommendation for a unit for a 12 year old to do nothing much more than Roblox, Fortnite and Minecraft?

    It would be ideal if it was a unit that the battery could be replaced on. Whilst they are good / decent now, the ability to replace would be ideal rather than always having to play games plugged in.

      Have something similar for a 9 year old. Plays Roblox just fine, can't comment on Fortnite or Minecraft. Use it as the school PC + occaisonal gaming. At this price point I expect it'll get trashed at some point due to slamming the lid or dropping it. Even the 'broken' laptops can be resold for 'parts' on Ebay. HP and Dell lappys are always coming into these resellers. What I find particularly good about this listing is the attentive rep to queries.

      I bought one and ask for the RAM config of 1x8 (I'll update it to 16 GB myself, videos all over YouTube if you want to upgrade these, you can do this for RAM and storage). The thing I particularly like about some older laptops is they still come with socketed parts instead of soldered only (no upgrade path really for soldered parts).

      You will need to explicitly describe the defects of the product before the time of sale. This is particularly important with online sales, where the consumer cannot examine the goods in person before purchasing them.

      The subjective ABCD gradings and lack of actual product images don't satisfy the requirements. Contact fair trading in your state if they decline a return on this basis.
