  I think you mean GST and the invoices must be over $300, which both of these products should be. Keep in mind coming back the total of these two could be over your limit $1000. If you are travellng with a partner then the limits can be combined

  I'm not sure if Nikon D7100 exist…. you mean D7000? or D700?

  If you are travelling by yourself and coming back… customs will warn you that its offence to claim gst on items over 900 which you intend to bring back after your trip (thats what the lady said to me at the GST counter when I claimed my camera + accessories).

  I came across this site from one of the earlier deals…

  they sell grey stock but has a store in sydney so they are willing to give you a tax invoice which you can use to claim GST at airport

  i dont think you should get D7000 as its heavily rumour a new one is due soon so price will drop as well… I think canon 650D has the issue with the plastic ( not sure if its solved).. I would say go with 60D from the 3 listed

    Sounds like you know your cameras - apart from the 60D, what else would you recommend for that kind of price? My preference is for Canon or Nikon, though willing to consider others if you think they are worth checking out

      I would stick with either these two

      but if you were to consider others

      I would say sony… the sony alpha 77 has really good reviews (dont know price ) and their SLT range is quite good too

      Pentax is also good (pentax fanboys swear by them but they bleed you for all its worth.. lenses are so expensive on a pentax unless you get 3rd party lens)

      Pentax and Sony has built in image stabilisers in the body so their lens are lighter as they dont need a Stabiliser (IS on canon or VR on nikon lens)

      I prefer Nikon cause thats the first SLR camera I had and once you picked a brand, its very hard to change to another as you will also need to change lens and accessories

    I take back what I sai about the place I recommended before.. Has my first contact with them today.. Very unprofessional and the customer service is poor

  Personally I have the Sony A77 and it is an awesome camera. Very high specs and excellent picture quality. It beats the Canon 7D in terms of features, performance, value for money, ergonomics and picture quality. If money is an issue then I would also look into the Sony A57 and A65 they are also excellent cameras.
