What aspect are you after 40 or 50 as the title and your post say different things?
Mine is 245/40/18, I use Michelin PS4’s (and probably will go PS5 when they’re up for replacement). Never been disappointed with any Michelin’s I’ve owned. You Get what you pay for
Tyres are a sham. I drive without them.
How's your horse?
Is that what they call rimming?¿…
At least give us some idea what you want out of a tyre. Grip, longevity, low noise or rolling resistance. What’s your use pattern? City, highway, mix, loaded unloaded, what type of vehicle? Drive like grandma or fangio?
No point asking for a tyre deal if people only suggest race tyres and you only want to drive to the station 3 times a week.
I've been buying Laufenn for a while now for multiple vehicles (Campervan, X5 SUV, Mazda 6, Barina). The whole range is great for the money. Jax seem to always have a 4 for 3 deal going on them too.
It seems like Jax has a deal on Laufenn and Hankook in that size. They are the same company

On this car it has Continental MCS6 atm. Pretty hsppy with the wesr vhsracteristicd. But it onky gets driven rarely now. So even though i dont want LiLins or Radar etc, i still want reputable at the cheapest price.
MYCAR want $300 per tyre, Tempe are $190, but MYCAR will only price match 30km from the competitors store which doesn't help me as I"m 150km away.
Take the drive into Tempe, have lunch on the Cooks River, then leave knowing you wont need to come back to Sydney for another 5 years.
Tried ringing some other local tyre shops?
They all price fix. No one is willing to budge re: price match.
