iOS/Android Game in-App Purchases Based on Location?

Wondering if iOS/Android Game In-App Purchases are based on location, like Netflix/Disney sign up subscriptions etc.

I'm tempted to subscribe to a mobile game which is ~$70 AUD for a year, surely that wouldn't be the same evedywhere, so I wanted to know if it would be cheaper in Turkey or Argentina etc.

Does anyone know, or know how to test, do I just need a VPN (I assume not, which is why I haven't tested that)? From what I've read you can only change your google play store location once each year?

    You need to change your entire Apple account region for this. It's pretty easy to do in profile settings but some countries require a validation debit/credit card (paypal works for some).

    $70 for a mobile game is frankly ridiculous, but you do you.

      That's what I was worried about, Having to change it like that without even know what the price would be.

      I know its crazy. And that is only for a year of 'vip' whcih basically just means you can skip ads. The way I'm potentially (still haven't decided) trying to justify it to myself is: I like the game, I hate the ads, I play it every day and waste at least 5-10 mins a day ignoring the ads. $70 would remove that wasted time and give me back more playtime, which to me, is arguably worth it.

      That said, I've only ever paid for one app, let alone an IAP.

      Hence trying to see if I can get it for like $10.

        Switch to airplane mode before you start the game. No ads.

        Some games try to get around this by ensuring a 'connection to server' is required. I don't recall Lemmings doing so, it's a pretty old game.

        You might benefit more from an Apple Arcade subscription. Tons of time waster games with no ads, no mtx, no wait time mechanics bs.

    Wasn’t there some app that would give you deals based on your location?? Like you’re at a shopping centre, and you’ll get deals like “1 donut for 50c from whatever donut shop”
