I own the 3 Eschalon games on Gog, purchased on sale years ago. Never played, but probably should get around to doing so.
The graphics style reminds me of Ultima 7, isometric perspective tile graphics, though the UI is Eschalon is much larger. Most games with retro graphics look much worse than this. I personally find Ultima 7 like graphics charming, but pre-Ultima 6 graphics are aweful.
