I was wondering how is this a deal lol

Also links to that camera. Link in description appears correct.

      • Links to a camera which is not part of the deal…

Great value cameras, daytime performance is stellar (for the price) but generally Reolink cameras suffer from ghosting at night and at night the video looks like the frame rate is ~15fps even though it is recording at ~25fps (e.g. it looks a bit choppy even at high fps recording).
IMHO, If they could fix their night performance then it would put other wired camera manufacturers out of business.

      I agree with this.

Value is great. But it's very annoying that their NVRs do not work with other camera brands. I changed my system to a Reolink system recently, and I have a camera up in the eaves of my 2 storey house that I thought I would just plug in, since it's too damn hard to reach myself. Nope. I'll need to get a tradie in to do that.

Connecting to the NVR can be a bit fiddly/tricky. I found that in order to do this, you must not initialise/log into the camera. Let the NVR detect/connect itself.

App is good and price is good, and there is a wide variety of cameras available. I actually really like my Trackmix PTZ and I wish I could get more without looking like a creepy house with tons of cameras everywhere.

My advice to anyone is to go the 16 channel NVR. I went the 8, and I've found all these different blackspots around the house that I want to cover, and I could do with an extra few channels.

    • The CX410 is looking very good for all round including night time. Only 4mp though but night time performance is really good. I may replace my 811, 820 and 822 with them. 8mp version may be coming but don't know when.

  • Anyone know of a good DVR? I have 4 reolink POE 1080P cameras.
I want one that records, connects to my wifi and has a good phone app

Does anyone know why some Reolink products are cheaper on Amazon compared to Reolink's own website.

The 8 channel NVR is 329 on Amazon while its 363 on Reolink.

  • Comes up as $1036.14 for me.
