I made a purchase from Surfstitch $140 today expecting approx $21.60 cashback as it's upsized to 17%. To pay I used two Shopback app purchased Surfstitch gift cards $100 + $25 and remainder $15 in Paypal. My cashback has tracked as $2.32 vs expected $21.60. So looks like I got 17% of $15 instead of 17% of $140.
I thought that gift cards purchased from the Shopback app did not affect the Shopback cashback rate. I've purchased loads of Shopback gift cards for various merchants in the past and it has never affected the cashback amount that I've noticed.
I know T&C says that gift cards invalidates the cashback, but I thought Shopback purchased gift cards were exempt from this - whats the correct answer pls ?
Why would a ShopBack purchased gift card be different to a normal gift card? If Ts and Cs say gift cards are excluded, they are, regardless of where they’re purchased.
