[WA] Bravo Apples $4/kg @ Coles

200

This type of apple used to be approximately $6.90/kg, it is now $4/kg at my local WA Coles. The price is also shown in Coles Online website.

As an apple connoisseur, I must say Bravo apple is one of the top tier apples 🍎

P.S. an apple a day keeps the PHD away

Good times to be a fan of Apples

  • Not sure if I can see that price in SE Qld. Coles website does behave a bit weirdly for me though.

    • Coles shows as $6.90/kg in Qld

      • you'd be a mug to buy apples from Coles in Qld. so many great fruit stores selling cheaper and better products.

        • I rarely buy fruit and veg from supermarkets. Really only do it if we're after one thing for a recipe and couldn't be bothered going to the local. It can be really busy and a bit painful sometimes.

        • Was just answering ozbs25 question, not buying there.

Owned a fruit business, selling up to 5 tonne a day, buying direct from farmers.

      iPhone 5c?

Just kidding. The Red Delicious probably the least delicious apple ever conceived by mankind.

Not the typoe of article I expected to read today but it was quite interesting.

For me Kanzi or Jazz are my go to but the red delicious really does look like a perfect apple. I've had to train myself to ignore how they look after being disappointed by their taste one time too many.

      • agree! i got fooled by the name "Delicious" once

Royal Gala, that stuff should stay on the tree

      • my personal ranking for apple

Top tier - Bravo , envy
        Middle- jazz , kanzi
Bottom Tier - pink lady , royal gala
        Not for Consumption - Eve

for cooking only - granny smith

Agree, but Pink lady are middle tier for me, no way same as gala

        • Jazz is top tier. Eve is ass you are correct

          What's wrong with Pink Lady?

          • @Punkboy: idk, the skin just feels too waxy sometimes compare to all varieties,

          • @Punkboy: pink lady is my favorite ….. not too sweet, solid texture and if used in cooking doesn’t fall apart….. not sure if these bravos are sweeter or more tart than pink lady ?

    • Adams apple

  • I bet they've been sitting in a freezer a few months.

    • Standing room only at Coles. No rest for the wicked

    • +1

I disagree, apples were looking real fine unfrozen and much bigger than Adams apple though, at least there's no ice surrounding them considering it's winter now if you get what I mean

  • How does Bravo compare with Envy Apple $4/kg @ Woolworths
These show as $6.90/kg in Qld

    • -2

Bravo = express approval when a performer or other person has done something well
Envy = a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck

YeaNah. A waste of time asking you a serious question about apples

I like fuji the best follow by royal gala. Don't like all the tangy varieties so no jazz, kanzi, pink lady and bravo is ok.

    • royal gala #1 for me, so fragrant and crunchy

  • such a pretty apple
