Hard to recommend when the M10 Plus 3rd Gen is just $40 more. (eBay Plus)

The 3rd gen craps all over this tab

      • How 3rd gen craps over 2nd gen? At least 2k screen.

        • 128gb 4 speakers better display

    • Nice.. is it worth upgrading to this from a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7?

    • how is it $40 more?

        It's been 3 weeks… prices change.

  • How are these with gaming? e.g mobile legends

  • It’s $138 on eBay

Good luck with that. 2GB/32GB no thank you.

  • Semi tempted to grab one as a home assistant frontend. Apparently the tablets ok for that, using a web browser as a front end.

    • Share some links on how to set this up?

      • I haven’t done it myself but was looking at these posts as inspiration. I have hone assistant already and to date have casted to a Google home, but found that to be a tad flakey and have disabled that. Dedicated tablet might be a good option.

I also can’t quite tell but apparently some Lenovo tablets ship with a stand that is suited to this sort of thing too, if you aren’t going to wall mount or do something more elaborate. I had a glance and couldn’t see if the stand was included, but it showed up in some of the product photos.

From what I could gather this or the equivalent 8” models perform reasonably enough for home assistant via a web browser. It’s not a great device to run more demanding things in but, apparently.

Just sold one of these second hand. It was the worst tablet I've ever used. So slow to load up and I hardly had any apps installed too.

    • Were you referring to the 2GB version? That's the worst one i had as well. The 4GB 2nd Gen is a decent device for browsing and video streaming. I've purchased a couple of those used for around $140-150. This at $170 for a new 2nd gen is a good deal specially if you have the dock which i have. The 3rd gen is a better device which is also on sale but is not compatible with the lenovo smart docks.

      • Were you referring to the 2GB version?

I got it for free, I should pay a bit more to get the 4GB version.
