The 2tb's not worth it at that price compared to the 1tb tbh.
Depends how many slots you’ve got on your MOBO I suppose. If you’ve only got 1-2 you might want 2-4tb instead
KC3000 or Samsung 980 Pro? (same price)
Or spend the ~$30 extra for SN850X?
I'd like to know this aswell
I looked this up a few months ago and from what I could gather, in terms of pure performance (i.e
benchmarks):
SN850X > KC3000 > 980 Pro
But then you need to factor in price, durability, warranty etc.
I worked out back then the KC3000/Renegade (basically the same drive) was probably the best bang for buck, as I've found real world the difference between each is really marginal in everyday workloads. There's a good chance I'll upgrade to a 2TB before I get anywhere near the useful life (I have 5yo drives still reporting 95%+ life)
But that's just my interpretation and I'm not an expert by any means, YMMV.
I got confused and thought the KC3000 1TB was $59. That would be amazing.
Genuine question: which one would suit PS5 use?
Are we not going to acknowledge how fricking cheap the Kingston NV2 1TB 3500MB/s is ($59)?
It might be a historical low https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0BBWH1R8H
ive not heard of the nv2 model how does it compare?
Would the NV2 1TB be good as a game drive or are there any better alternatives?
2TB cheaper at Amazon for $130.03, 1TB is $64.73
NV2 is a suspect choice - low quality of unknown parts, low endurance TBW and low speeds for a Gen 4 drive
Only makes sense as a ghetto PS5 expansion drive due to the Gen 4
Better off getting a quality Gen 3 970 Evo Plus for almost every other use case

Best value USB enclosure for the NV2 model?
Something like this for $9.95?
