If you need it right now, go to Coles and buy Ultimate gift cards while they are on sale (10% off). Then check other stores if there a better price that Good Guys can match. Pay with the discounted gift cards after.

  • I got this fridge/freezer in December discounted to $958 by going to my local Good Guys and asking for the best price.
I did buy the chest freezer at the same time though so that might have helped.

  • I want to buy something from good guys what’s the best place to buy from them just now there own Website or eBay store and are there any stacking codes that work or can you only use one code be it ebay or there site

  • I bought 3 of these beginning of the year https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/chiq-380l-vertical-hybrid-fre…
First 1 in-store for $900 Loved it so came back next week, gave me another with delivery for $860.
They ran out of stock so went to another TGG, and they would only price match the first with no delivery.
I might add Browns Plains QLD aren't as nice as the eastern stores.

I run 2 in freezer mode and one in fridge. Freezer mode uses 0.6 Kw of power a day, haven't run a power meter off the fridge yet, but they cost almost nothing a day to run

"Freezer mode uses 60 watts of power a day," 60W is an instantaneous power rating, not an accumulated power consumption figure.
As a guide our less than 12 month old 388 litre freezer used an average of 900Wh per day over a six week span (900Wh/24 equals an average instantaneous rate of 37.5W). It's using around 8.5% more than what the efficiency sticker on it shows. 900Wh is 0.9kWh so around 40c or so per day to run depending on where you are

I pay 25c a kWh, that's about 14c a day to run according to my meter.
Maybe Chiq aren't as power hungry

        • 600Wh (0.6kWh) is not 60W, but yes that is around 2/3 consumption of ours which confusingly has the same 3.5 energy rating for a similar size. temp setting will change power consumption too (can't recall our setting)

Walk in, ask for a better price. When they give you the price, ask them to chuck in delivery as well.

    Dont.

Even if you have a major fault that stops the fridge from running, theyll insist on a repair over a replacement, using their own people, unless the repair costs more than the fridge.

They also think that fridges are only built to last for two years. Ask them.

And yes, acc etc…if you've got the time for the battle, go for it.

  • Go to The Best Guys.

  • Pay cash pay less! Just talk to the sales person and ask for a deal.

    • +1

It's not the 90's anymore. Cash makes no difference.

    • Yea nah that's not how it works anymore. Salespersons don't care if you pay cash or by card, they're not counting it or processing it.

  • Go in store and ask for a better deal present your options of cash back and they will knock the prices back it works if u do your research also if you are in sydney go to bankstown good guys this store is like haggle world ask for Charlie from bankstown good guys

  • Either wait for EOFY sales or look for cashback deals from TGG like rn there's $100 or more if you use Paypal pay in 4
