Goodness knows how it happened but the " ' ( key next to enter) on my HP Chromebook has somehow turned into an @ when I hold the shift and " ' key.
Is there a way to change it back?
It is driving me crazy.

You have changed the language, most likely to GB (UK). change it back to the US and you'll be ok.
Click on the clock/icons down the bottom right on the task bar, then look for the keyboard. Change it to US
