TripADeal Ex-Brisbane and other Feedback

In the past years, I have met people (over dinners or functions) who go on TripADeal, all seem happy.
So recently I was on the look-out for some tours for us.

It appears to me that they are not too desirable for us (For those that I looked into. Cant say I've read all):
1) Departing Brisbane has Surcharge.
2) They dont allow stay-over or extending the stay after tours
3) No flight upgrade available

    Qantas acquiring 51% of TripADeal means it will gradually become less appealing to the price-sensitive traveller.

    I would rather them organise the flight from Brisbane than have to do it myself so they are all ticketed together.

    Some tours do allow you to stay before or after a flight, but there is a surcharge.

    Some people on our China tour were able to upgrade to business class for the flight over.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with them - the accommodation was absolutely amazing for the price. (2019, $599 Beijing and Shanghai, 8 nights - same tour is available again, now $999.)
