  • I watched a couple of youtube reviews and one says the diameter is 37.9mm and this one says 37.5mm.

So it's good for skinny wrists.

  • what is this a 'homage' of watchnerd?
…just watched the video…GS. thought it looked very seiko

    • +1

      I wasn't aware it was a homage.

      • +2

watch your video links watchnerd…you might learn something! ;)

        • +1

Ok well I skipped through the review so must have missed it.

      • +2

Most PD are homages… they are pretty nicely done.

The other is SM.. but bloody expensive.

  • +2

Seiko Quartz VH31 Hi-Beat Movement : Accuracy: ± 15 sec per month. Battery Life: 2 years.

    • +1

Yeah all those extra beats give you the cool sweep hand but cost in extra ticks from the battery.

    • +4

It would be great to see one of these movements combined with solar

  • Synthetic sapphire glass

    Hmmm?

Any difference with real sapphire @WatchNerd

  • Nice, went the blue/gold variant, been meaning to check out the Pagani stuff after being really pleased with the Steeldive SD1970 I picked up back in January. Mrs The Vat will definitely "borrow" this one since she hates setting the time on my automatics.

  • Why is the white one more expensive? I wanted that one.

    • +11

I think you answered your own question

    • +1

      I wanted that one.

      That’s exactly why :)

      • White is available now.

    • White is available now.

      • +1

        got one thanks

  • +9

I want to like this but the dial text says “WATER RESISTNAT” on all the promo images

    • +1

Was just about to comment on this haha.

    • +2

nice pickup! …..that is (profanity) ridicuolus though

      • +3

Looks like the fixed this with the V2. Probably why these are selling so cheap

        • +1

          v.2 - sans typos. lol!

    • It's spelt correctly in the review video - round about the 1m35s mark

    • +2

Thanks, now I would like to buy this!

  • Why is it so cheap? Strange I tried to share a link from another watch on Aliexpress but it didn’t work.

    • Modify the URL - remove the question mark and everything after it

  • Wow. Pagani should do more of this rather than the blatant copies masquerading as 'homages'.

  • +3

I mean even though it’s a Pagani Designs China special, it would be nice to have a hi-beat quartz in the collection. The value here is undeniable with that movement and dial, plus the fact that it’s not exactly a direct rip off of a Grand Seiko. I picked one up, thanks WN.

    • +3

The typo makes it a solid investment too!

      • its a limITEd ebitioN!!

      • +1

Fingers crossed it’s the V2 with the corrected typo…. It sounds like the V1 is quite old stock at this point. Hopefully the images were overlooked in the listing.

    • +1

No one calls it a 'rip off' anymore. It's called 'homage'.

  • +7

Typo makes it more collectable imo

  • +1

Awesome find, surprised I hadn’t come across this model before!
A shame the ‘white’ one isn’t available.

    • +1

      White is available now.

  • +3

I can’t fault my Pagani Panda Daytona ripoff. Sapphire glass, seiko movement and a decent bracelet for $63 delivered it’s an absolute bargain.

    • Same can't really go wrong for $100 or whatever.. and looks like a more expensive watch.

Quality bracelets and clasps too, better than most seikos under $700-1000.

Just wish they'd make a more premium version and provide decent lume. Most are pretty bad.

      • Most dress watches have either no lume at all of effectively no lume. So that's one thing that have done right, I suppose.

        • yes and no.. depends how vintage they are.
The Rolex Explorer does, as well as older seiko 5 i had, even if it was just a small dot it was still decent.
Cronos make good homages too - BGW9 looks good on it. Worth paying a bit more, the SD1970 is great but you expect that from a diver.

    • can you send me a pm, i tried looking but i can't find it for that cheap

      • +1
        • Only buy from Pagani design official

          • @G-rig: steel ya loins, laddie! …

It's the same store as the OP ..Official store prices are 2X+ .. if worried maybe use Paypal to add their guarantee to the Ali 75 day guarantee .. in case you receive a lemon

            • @Wally: Interesting.. hard to know but should be right. Anyway already have one of these, pretty good watches ;)

            • @Wally: Hard to know either way.
If they can rip off a Rolex then other Chinese sellers can copy a successful Chinese brand watch. Unless the workers at the factory are just knocking them off and selling.

  • +4

    Do I need this? No.

For fiddy bucks am I going to get it? Hell yes!

I've been waiting to add a blue dial resistnat watch to my collection.

There are also some versions of the Pagani Daytona for under $60, I tried to link it here but got done for posting an affiliate link. Sorry mods, it wasn't intentional. But the listing shouldn't be hard to find.

  • +1

Is this related to like Pagani… as in the car brand?

    • +2

'pagani design' not pagani….luxury watch homages mainly sold on aliexpress
and yes even their brand name is a 'homage'

      • +2

ahh… 'homage' indeed. Nearly got suckered.

        "Oh cool… Pagani from Italy?"

"No… Pagani… from China, Pagani Design k stop asking"

  • +1

I bought one of these already. Mine has resistant spelled correctly. It's a great watch

    • +1

      Oh bad luck, haha.

  • Only black ones left.

    • White is available now.

  • Very nice in the white dial config

  • A bit of sad story: ordered this watch on 10th, got Auspost notification this morning that parcel will be delivered today (wow, 5 days, not bad!), few hours later got another notification saying my parcel is returned to sender because it “can’t be redirected”. Apparently someone somewhere screwed up and didn’t put street name in my address for Auspost (I can see it’s really missing on tracking page), even though my order on Aliexpress shows correct full address with proper street name. Called Auspost, they said there’s nothing they can do to fix address as the parcel is now on the way back to sender, and suggested to contact sender. Aliexpress chat agent is useless, my dispute/refund request is currently rejected as as per AE it’s too early to panic and I need to wait about 10 days when my parcel can be considered non delivered.

    • Wow that's annoying. Keep us informed what happens in the end.

      • +1

Aliexpress said I need to wait another 10 days, so I filed Paypal refund request today.
Aliexpress chat agents are simply useless, had 2 conversations with them and they keep showing me tracking history which shows my parcel being delivered. Which is true, but delivered to sender’s return address somewhere in Sydney’s Greenacre, not my Melbourne address. This is where they take a pause and then say there’s nothing they can do, and I tell them they’re useless, and our conversations end :/

        • Got refund from PayPal. End of the story for me.
(meanwhile Aliexpress decided to mark my order as delivered, sure why not)

  • +3

So good news is mine arrived already (feels like quickest AliExpress delivery I’ve ever had) and no spelling mistake, however the ‘blue’ I ordered looks like light purple…

    • +1

…'light purple' edition is rarer therefore more desirable!!!

    • That was super fast delivery!!! Can you confirm the diameter of the case please?

      • +1

I don’t have calipers so take this with a grain of salt but appears to be around 38mm to me

    • Just looking at this watch and it seems to have quite a protruding saphire dome. How is it in real?

  • +1

Looks like all colours are back in stock now.

    • +2

use code SS3 for a further 3USD off

      • Thanks nifty, added to the description. Even cheaper now!!!

  • +4

Received mine today, the "Water Resistant" font is spelt correctly. What absolute bang for the buck this thing is…

    • So are they 40 or 37.9mm in diameter?
