I received one of these kits as a bonus with a Sunbeam machine once and it's actually a really nice quality heavy tamper that was much nicer than any basic ones i've had. I still use it now with my Breville dual boiler

Actually I also still use the knockbox too which is simple but effective, and has held up in the top rack of the dishwasher. The thermometer does what its meant to do. Think i ditched the tamping mat straight away though as it's just a generic rectangular mat and i had one that i preferred already .
Cheaper machines often have plastic spoon-tamper. This would be a nice upgrade, as long as your basket is 58mm.
Does anyone know if the tamper would work well with the Dual boiler's portafilter?
Dual boiler is 58mm baskets, so I don't see why not.
It's just a standard size 58mm tamper, should work fine with the dual boiler
It deserves better, get the Normcore V4 Tamper and you'll be set for life
Is the advantage of these that they ensure the same force every time you tamp?
Not the pressure, the leveling is best plus clean pucks, no residue on the wall of the basket. You need to make sure you put enough ground coffee for V4 to work.

Does the tamperwork with Breville 870 ?
No..its 53mm. 3D print one. Swiss Multivitamin container is also 53mm. Lid is 54mm. File the edges and it works perfect.

Idk why they included the tamper in this bundle. Surely anyone looking for these kind of accessories would already have a basic tamper.
