    VERY NICE

  • I paid $605 2 months ago.

  • Nice deal! Picked up one. Thanks 👍

curious, how does this compare to GoPro

    • +2

if you're comparing it with the GoPro MAX 360 this is the better product. it's a lot newer and video quality is a lot better.

but if you're comparing it with GoPro Heros (especially the later ones), usage wise it's not too different but you have the added benefit being able to play around with angles and special effects after shooting.

i personally use it for driving vlogs, being able to pan around is really cool.

No I just bought one from their ebay store amd they didn't have the extra 40 discount. Wondering if I could ask them to get the 40 bucks of credit

  • Everyone raves about this one, but I'm already carrying my mirrorless camera everywhere :S

    • +2

your mirrorless camera can't really be mounted securely without investing in crazy suction mounts, nor can it film 360 videos.

it's not supposed to replace you camera, it complements it.

      • Good point thanks.

A part of me wants to document via video when I travel, the other just doesn't want to carry too much gadgets when abroad

        • yea same, i'm downsizing to APS-C from fullframe. if i have the budget i will go even further and pick up a Ricoh GRIII and use it as my only daily camera.

Insta360 X3 is super compact, if you have the habit of bringing your camera bag you could easily bring the Insta360 with you.

that's like saying you already have a boat, so you don't need a car.

insta360 link is also $449 with the code. Not an amazing price but matches the cheapest I've seen.

  • i have the x2, do i need the x3?

  • Are they good for night firework or show videos ?

    • Cameras with small sensors such as this generally won't be good in low light - the X3 is no exception, not great in low light - however, check out some YouTube videos for examples :)

      • Thanks. Then I will pass.

      • re small sensor and low light performance - that is true, but most modern phones have low-light mode that stitches photos for you and they also have really good post-processing that automatically reduces the noise for you whilst preserving as much detail as possible.

my iphone for example, can handle low light better than my full frame Z6 F1.8S (hand-held) at night if I don't mind holding it very awkwardly for a few seconds whilst it does its own magic.

but yeah X3 sucks at low light, mounting it in my car filming vlogs i could see the grains on the black dashboard even in broad daylight. after exporting it clears it up a bit for me, but it's unable to preserve too much detail.

insta360 has the one RS which has a 1" instead of a 1/2" sensor - almost double the price tho

        • Yeah… just went for it … hope will will do good job

    • Not good at night at all, very grainy night videos even when moderately lit. Best suited for day time outdoors.

  • thanks op!

  • Got one! Which selfie stick is everyone using with this mostly?

    • the regular sized insta360 114cm invisible selfie stick seems the most practical and portable for most shots - but the 3m one looks like it can get some epic shots, it's just a lot bigger and not so easily carried outstretched for long periods of time.

  • I tried the code above but it didn't apply the discount. I fear this may be expired. Has anyone else tried?
