  • Looks nice. I wish it was larger

One thing there is not a shortage of in our society is plastic bottles.
Its reduced but still way too dear.

Sorry, but $25 for a plastic bottle isn't a bargain… Decor stainless steel bottles were just selling for ~$10-15. + this

    • +1

Wait W the actual F? $25 for an empty half litre bottle????

  • +2

    What an ugly looking bottle

Buy glass/ceramic/aluminium bottles, all of today's food safe plastics are only considered food safe because they haven't had long term studies proving they're unsafe like BPA.

So much better to have to sweep up some broken glass than making yourself sterile or giving yourself cancer.

  • Eww

  • Why would you pay (that too so much!) for a plastic bottle? Ew.

  • +1

After buying their steel cups and reporting
the leaking issues they didn't even bother to reply. That was a big design flaw.
Myer accepted the return of 6 cups as I bought them for gifting.
Since they don't stand by their products I will not recommend these over priced products.

Perhaps they believe by charging so much you're more likely to 'keep' re-using it, to try to get your money's worth?

    <sarcasm, of course>

  • If using for hot coffee, wouldn't this be hot to touch?

    • +1

Yes the bottle will definitely will be hot to the touch.

I have the Thermal Bottle and Thermal Cup (they sell a combo called the Going Places Gift Kit) that I have been using daily for just on 6 months for coffee.

Both the bottle and cup has held up really well. The Helix lid design is superior to their original designed lids and it definitely is better than the Frank Green lid designs. Has only ever leaked a handful of times due to improper reassembly after a wash (ie. my fault, not a design issue). The bottle desk has leaked once or twice, but again, I suspect due to user error.

I normally clean via a dishwasher and lids or components have not warped or shown signs of wear. I bought a couple of spare lids to swap around and convert the smaller cup (or bottom half of the thermal cup) into a second lidded cup.

I bought all this at 25% off sale leading up to xmas, and it remains a purchase I do not regret. I've used a bunch of different reusable lidded cups/mugs and this has been the best for my needs.
