Hey everyone,
I recently bought a second hand GPU off ebay however upon arrival I noticed the bracket to be screwed onto the PC is bent out of shape. It likely happened during shipping as when I unboxed it the bracket was pushed through the bubble wrap and into the box walls. It was also only lightly wrapped and not taped.
I understand I can simply bend it back to shape but I bid an amount which I felt should provide a product that worked out of the box (ebay condition indicates item is used but is "fully functional") and the bent bracket means I can't even install it into my PC out of the box. I'm also wary that the bracket integrity is already compromised and bending it back would make it worse.
I've spoken to the seller who apologised but mentioned it probably happened during shipping as it was fine when he packed it. I'm inclined to believe them but at the same time felt that the packaging was a bit light and a bit more thought could've prevented this. In light of this is it worth pursuing a partial refund either from paypal or ebay?

edit: Thanks for the response - yes it's an important piece of metal but small at the end of the day. Looks like I'll just cop it and not go through the fuss of a refund. Cheers
Just return it for a full refund if you’re not happy otherwise it will just be sitting in back of your mind even if you do fit it off after fixing the bracket. Or worse you try to bend it back and it breaks more. Etc
Old mate should have packed a high value item better. At least bubble wrap then box it then wrap it again.
