I was looking at case fans on amazon and these popped up right at the top. $10 coupon applied at checkout dropping it down to $39.99 so that price for 5 rgb fans with 2 included pwm hubs that usually go for around $10 each on their own seems like a decent deal imo.

No its not. I usually set the fans on silent mode, arctic gives that humming sound at around 600-800rpm, deepcool doesnt.

I bought a set of these earlier this year for an Asus z270 board that only had 12v pins. They do the job for cheap fans.
You get 2x fan hubs but only 1x RGB cable from the motherboard, messaging there's a lot of daisy chained cable to hide in your case.

I have a gigabyte B550M-K motherboard that only has 1x 4pin 12v and no other RGB slots.
Would the hubs allow me to connect all the fans to my motherboard, or do I have to buy an RGB controller for it to work?
Finally I can build a pc that can double as a drone.

Says two hubs so two pc's would be good, but you should be able to run them without the hub depends if its proprietary
You can spread them as far and wide as you like. The 4 pin PWM fans will fit on old 3 pin connectors, you just won't get PWM support. As for the RGB, that'll depend on your motherboard / hubs. It seems to use 4 pin 12V. Based on the promotion material, that'll be ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI and ASRock.
