Brand New Subaru BRZ ONLY $37,150! Incredible Price

413

Just was browsing for some bargains to grab as gifts and came across this. The new Subaru BRZ is only $37k, it features a much more sporty look as compared to the base Toyota 86. I checked stock at Subaru in the city and they've got a couple left, gotta get in quick cause they dont have much supply as compared to the 86. I believe its a better alternative to the 86 as there is already a HUGE wait list for th e86 ad plus the BRZ has revised suspension and capped servicing. For those of you waiting for a turbo charged version I think you'll be waiting for a while, I mean how would they price it 45-50k? YEH RIGHT when the base WRX is 40K. Lol anyway first post feel free to neg.

Not going to neg, it might be good value but technically not a deal as it's the everyday price.

    • -4

Fair fair, just waiting for delivery of mine, on the test drive it was pretty smooth ride, bit stiff on the breaks but then again its a sports car, bit different to the family forrester haha!

      • +9

        cool story bro :)

      • +6

Your waiting for delivery?, so you were browsing for gifts and thought you would give yourself this car. Are u adopting by any chance?

      • +6

Can I neg for not knowing the difference betweens brakes and breaks?

  • But the Toyota 86 has firmer ride setup! The BRZ Has 3 years servicing included while Toyota 86 cost $680 a year I think lol for n e one rushing out to get one haha

    • -1

Swift sport! get outta here mate, don't you talk about stiff. the swift sport is like getting your prostate checked. also its for teenage girls so i guess it makes sense;)

      • +2

Lol I don't have a swiftsport my wife has one

        • +3

Leave swifty alone, his wife also controls the stiffness levels :(

    • T 86 doesn't have spare tyre, it replaced by tyre repair kit

    • 3 years of servicing included in the retail price is too good to be true.

I believe both Suburu and Toyota provide 'capped' price servicing with these vehicles.

    • edit: double post

    • i think the BRZ has 10% stiffer springs at the front

      • Well I certainly got a little stiff seeing the BRZ compared to the 86. Interactive@Docklands gals FTW!

    • +9

      for n e one

Off-topic, but you would have used less characters if you had typed "for anyone" instead of 'abbreviating'. Just sayin'… :P

    • Pretty sure the Subaru has 10% stiffer springs.

  • Which model is the deal for ? the link shows different BRZ models. Same price for all of them ? Includes shipping ?

    • +1

There's only one BRZ model (except manual/auto option)… although there is a premium pack it seems which has alcantara heated seats.

    • -1

You mean different colours? Only one model for BRZ, nice try though

  • +4

Looks for change under couch cover ….

    Darn 3, 114, 945 cents short

    • +2

You had $6000.55 under your couch?

Not the safest storage option, but this is OzB…

  • +7

    At least post a receipt!

  • Both cars look good in the end there both the same only depends which badge you like to drive around in

  • "Just was browsing for some bargains to grab as gifts and came across this" . .

this is a gift?..wow…can i be your friend?

  • Do these guys take PayPal?

    • +2

      • +3

yes, but you need to use there Nigerian accounting department. give me your email and ill send you details.

    • Nope, you need a credit card for deposit.

  • OP, can you please explain why I shouldn't neg this deal?

    • -2

cause you love a good bargain? think about all the looks you'd get in one of these! nah go ahead and neg it just means ill have to try extra hard next time! :D

      -mard

      • Ha ha. If it weren't for your comedy reply I would neg it. Hope it gets a few people interested whilst it's up here.

    • I am twitching to neg it too. What exactly is the "deal" ???

  • Seems like the same price two months ago

I have pre-oredered mine and added heaps of extras on top, so mine costs like $42,600. Mine won't arrive till May 2013. :(

    • -3

Can i ask what extras you got ontop? I got a sunroof, larger disc brakes but they wouldnt order in a muffler for me to piss off the neighbours

      • I got the premium package, satnav, reverse camera, front assist parking, rear assist parking and the rear spoiler.

        • +2

Don't think you can get larger brakes either..

      • +5

This Alex guy is a joke. You can't get a sunroof on the BRZ or 86, there isn't enough headroom. It's the same reason you can't get a sunroof on a Nissan 370Z either.

        • -3

Lol MrZ you seem mad, http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/attachments/interior-exterio… theres one with a sunroof champ. Dw mate one day youll get a sports car and lighten up.

        • +4

          That's not a 370Z.

        • +3

          That's not a 370Z.

        • -3

sorry 350z huge difference definitely not same chassis, come on mate clutching at straws. difference between the 2 is minimal at best. just admit you don't know much about cars and that youre wrong. please do it for the kids

        • +6

I said you can't get a sunroof on a 370Z, BRZ, or 86. Show us a photo of the sunroof on your BRZ - would love to see it. You probably found a photo of the only 350Z on the planet with a sunroof - it's a dodgy looking aftermarket one - look how the glass has to slide upwards instead of into the roof (like most sunroofs) - because the roof is so small there's no room for a proper one.

        • -2

its legit its my bros one he got it from boxhill subaru

      • +1

Did you strap your son on the roof or something because there's no way you would have gotten a sunroof on the Australian model - there's barely enough room for a helmet if you plan to take it on to the track for an average height person.

They said that at launch that they will not have a sunroof as an option, what are the brakes? The only ones I've heard of are the StopTech ones import from the US.

    • I think waiting that long you are going to buy yourself a car that's worth substantially less than what you paid for it. I'm not saying cars don't devalue anyway, but at least driving it whilst it devalues rather than waiting for it to just show up. Being its a new car they will discount it a lot by May 2013.

      • The contract says the price will reflect the current price on the date of arrival. And so it can be negotiated when the time comes. I have spoken to the dealer and went for a test drive.

  • +2

Hmm, "there is already a HUGE wait list for the 86 "… there is a huge waiting list for the BRZ too, 13+ months

  • +1

" checked stock at Subaru in the city and they've got a couple left"

I thought online ordering was the only way to purchase a BRZ?

    • +1

They maybe belong to some pre-orders that got cancelled last minute when it arrived.

      • true, didn't think about that

    • +1

Get them to give you a double your money back guarantee and they won't take your order. All BRZ's are SOLD.
I don't work there now but I spent 13 years incarcerated.

  • +4

    thanks got one.

  • +5

It's not a bargain, it's on sale by the manufacturer for full RRP. Oh, and for it to be a bargain it has to actually be available. The BRZ sold out the day it went on sale. Buy now and you're looking at 2013 delivery.

    • -2

look mate i just wanted to help out the ozbargainers who were hanging for a good deal on a rear wheel drive sports coupe. its choice for any young buyers with rich parents or guys going through a mid-life crisis or even hairdressers.

      • +4

Cheers mate….I fit in all three categories……3x commission for you. Lol

      • +7

So what? This is a site for bargains? According to your logic, I should post a deal on brand-new Corollas for $20,990? What's the difference?

        • -2

no cause the new corolla hasnt been released just a few pics were released, so really youd be posting a model that is about to be superseded. bad example. Shouldve picked an 86 or maybe scirocco.

        • +1

whats wrong with an old model?

  • Would I have to sell my MX5 to look good in one of these?

    No, I'm not a hairdresser.

    Anymore.

    • -1

mx-5 is a better drive but id argue BRZ looks better. Ozbargainers really coming at this deal hard, I think MrZ is furious about this, might be that a guy in a subaru stole his high school sweet heart lol

      • +3

MrZ knows a lot more about cars than you do. I know a lot more about cars than you and I'm getting angry because of your arrogance and you pretend to know a lot about cars when clearly you don't.

You're probably one of those people who chuck a massive body kit and chrome rims onto their old Commodore and thinks it looks cool
