Load $500,000, get ONE.. MILLION.. DOLLARS!

      • +1

The millionare dream is in sight, if you can afford half a million

        • Not afford.. invest!

    • +2

Load $500 get $1000 then increase the price per game by 100%. What are you going to do about it? Not use your credit?

      • Get 100% of what you paid for?

      • Can you refund?

        • You can exchange for a brand new powercard

  • Any TCN/Ultimate Gift Card promos that overlap this promo? The 8% Ultimate Gift Card promo ran out at Amazon :(

    • +8

10% off Ultimate gift cards at Coles next week (excluding variable load).

    • Can we use TCCN/Ultimate gift cards to load double dollars ?

  • +1

    Sheesh already?

  • many businesses have shutdown..

can't believe timezone is still in business.

    • +7

Because you spend $100 in games for a prize worth $2 haha.
They keep opening new ones everywhere and so I don’t see them going out of business any time soon.
I take my child occasionally and it’s always so packed! I find the claw and prize machines to be the very popular so they probably make a good amount of money off those alone.

      • +3

agreed @Max333 I even tried to game their system @ 100 tickets per dollar but they still break even when i go to get my prize , and that's insane tickets per dollar. you just need to look at the retail price of their rewards vs how much it cost you to get to the prize to see how easy it is for them to make money, on top of the fact that people dont just go in to play JUST ticket machines, they play fighting games and racing games etc that do not yield tickets at all. Then there's the party events that they provide etc etc. its a good enough business to stay afloat until literally no one goes out at all lol

      • +2

        depends on the location too..
maybe in the city they have more people.

some shopping centers timezone looks quite barebone
but they still need to pay for their high electricity cost.
surprising that those haven't shut down

I find the claw and prize machines to be the very popular so they probably make a good amount of money off those alone.

        those claw machines are rigged..

        https://www.vox.com/2015/4/3/8339999/claw-machines-rigged

        • Just scout for those fallen for sunk cost fallacy and win off them lol

        • agreed @pinkybrain, location is everything for these places, need good foot traffic and a good centre that does events to draw people in anyway.

    • +5

      Looks at Platinum card

Nup, no idea why they're still around…

      • Saw a young kid with a platinum card the other day, watched him swipe on the claw machine… balance was over half a grand (rich or generous parents perhaps?).

Basically sums up why Timezone still is a cash cow…

        • +1

Eh, it's good for my kids. They enjoy it, I can afford it, so what?

Balance doesn't mean much when they regularly do these sorta deals. Halves the cost of the games

          • +1

@spackbace: 100%, my kids will get the same. Just thought it was interesting as to why people think that people are going to stop going to Timezone because of 'the interest rates' or something like that ;)

        • +1

That's not much considering double credits. $250 is pretty standard for toys (realistic $225 min with 10% giftcards actually transacting). Back in 2022 there were tons of kids with blue vip cards with $900 values from discover and parent vouchers.

    • I feel Timezone would be a good place to launder money.

"But Mr. AFP, John Smith just loves the pinball machine! No sorry, the CCTV isn't working in that area."

      • +2

It would be good until you need to spend the money on anything except the claw machine

    • One just recently opened in Top Ryde Shopping Centre, I think last year?

  • +1

Queensland currently has a promo for $80 get $200

    • recently doubled up already but if Melbourne does a promo like that im all in

    • DO you have a link for this advertised anywhere?

    • I claimed in in NSW last month and then again in QLD when as well! Great deal.

  • +1

Ah, if only they had this in the 80s. Hand in $2 note, get $4 worth of 20s.

Could end Double Dragon with that stash.

    • You only need one credit to beat the game with the all-conquering elbow smash.

      • I usually played with my brother and we'd always waste credit fighting each other over the whip or baseball bat. I can't actually remember finishing that game with him.

  • +1

Does the credit need to be used the same day, or can we come back later

    • +1

You can definitely load up and then use the credits in subsequent visits. Just be aware the tickets might expire if no activity for 12 months(?) but I don't think the credit expires.

  • +2

    Wasted that $$$ on Chunithm!!!!!

  • +3

Private company with unknown financials. I'll be careful with loading too much money in a digital wallet. The more aggressive the promotion, the more cautious everyone should be. Unsecured creditor will get almost nothing in the chain of distribution when bankrupt.

    • +1

So this company has been around for ever and defiantly getting the benefits of the pandemic pend up demand.
No need to be concerned panic merchant!

    • +1

Generally that's a valid concern for some companies, but they have literally run this promo maybe 100 times before..

    • +2

You literally spend all the credit right after you top up. They can't possibly go bankrupt and close down within 90 minutes of loading up your credit

  • +1

Not anymore, spent 250$ in last 2-3 months on non necessary gaming, most lost on claw machines though :)

    • +1

We need an OzBargain FAQ on how to get the 'most value' out of claw machines I think ;)

      • +1

They program it, there is this pop vinyl claw machine at rouse hill, some days ago it was so easy to score. I thought let's try again the next time I went, I spent 82$ before I grabbed one, another 35$ for nothing. Same machine same place I scored 2 in may be 10 tries, all a scam.

        • Pop vinyl you can win everytime if you hit the box in the right place but you need to be millimeters perfect on it.

You have to slide the top flap in with the claw it's hard but always a guarantee win, otherwise you be doing the wait till the default claw strength.

  • Can i Cash it out if i am willing to play any more ?

    • No

    • Sure, I'll buy you out $1 for every $5 Timezone credits.

  • I've found pretty good value in bowling, dodgmens, mini golf etc for the kids. Once you have their cost it's is hard to beat anywhere

  • +4

Double dollars is a good way to try new games, those jackpot games are worth the try. Down the clown , bean bag toss etc easy way to get 1000s of tickets in a session. The major prize is alot 380K for iphone 14 pro 128. If you are skilled enough could cost you $900 or less just need the time and dedication. Have witnessed people easily get 2500 tickets in 5 games @ $2.4 / game so 2500 tickets for $12 of credit ($6 cost with double up credit). so its not all silly prizes or lollies

    • 380,000 tickets in 152 games, hmm… I think I've got about 5000 tickets in 152 games. Guess I've got some practising to do.

    • +1

Sounds like quick drop to me. I think I've nabbed 1.9k from tons of tickets in one play and 4k from zombie + bonus.

      • Yep. I win the jackpot on Quickdrop probably on average every 2/3 games. My local is 600 tickets base minimum jackpot and $2.40 per game.

So I can easily pull 300+ tickets per dollar.

    • +2

      Shhhhhhh… not so loud Azk.

I’ve got over 500k tix and always get the new apple stuff for my fam.

      • +1

LoL not all secrets were revealed… sucks they dropped a lot of the tickets and upped the price… and WA can’t even redeem major prizes instore anymore

    • I bring a broom to play down the clown.

  • I hope the credits can concert to timed play.

  • With the timezone app, can you use the app to play games in the arcade? Or you have to use a physical timezone card to play? I have about 8 timezone cards in my draw, can't be bothered checking them TBH.

    • +1

No you can’t unfortunately. Just bring them all
N combine them . The staff can do it

  • NSW residents can get a free $20 voucher, just like QLD's do
    https://www.timezonegames.com/en-au/nsw-voucher?utm_source=m…

    • +1

Yes, this was extended; was originally supposed to have ended last month

  • +1

Didn't know they were still around… Good to see they survived the pandemic

  • can you use these credits for anything at timezone? including bowling or laser tag? or is it only for arcade games?

  • +3

For those who live near a KingPin they’re doing $500 credit for $200 as part of their “King’s Coin” Day

    • Almost deserves its own post

  • Is $100 smallest amount you can load ?

  • I'm getting an error when I try to reload through the app using Ultimate Everyone eGC: "Oops! Your reload was unsuccessful. Please try again"
I've ensured I'm entering the correct details, number, expiry, CVV.

    • is it still the same? i was thinking to grab ultimate gc from coles.

      • Should be fine if you go and use the double dollar option instore at a TimeZone and use your ultimate everyone gc.
My issue is with using it online.

  • Does credit comes with any validity period?

    • +1

As long as you use the card at least once every twelve months, it doesn’t expire

  • Their claw machines are horrible, you have to hold down a button to go forwards and let go when you think it's in position then hold another button to go right and let go

You can't even just use a joystick to position the claw correctly it's 10x harder on top of it already being slim chances in the first place

    • Haymarket has joystick claw machines

    • lol… never played a UFO catcher then.

  • I went in the other day and apparently they can't order prizes in from JBhifi and stuff like they used to. So keep in mind you might have to travel now to get a good prize (some good stuff in cabinets at Timezone Crown)

  • Is there any way to use the PLAY20 voucher in conjunction with this offer online? (i.e. without going into a store?).
I can't find anywhere to enter it.

    • +1

      No, in venue redemption only

  • The timezone App is not taking Ultimate Everyone eGC…

    • +1

Need to use apple pay to bypass

  • Just worked in conjunction with this week promos by Coles and technically get 10% off further. The other type of Ultimate card types are working other then Everyone are Kids and Students.

  • Do you think this is worth it in Sydney? We've played in time zone and koko. Tz seems to always have broken machines, either completely turned off or out just doesn't work and we have to get a refund from the staff.

    Tried from Miranda to Ryde.

Have kids who want to play the ones that aren't just button pressing, ie driving, shooting etc. And those are the ones usually broken. Koko seems to have most machines working when we go.
