Shipping for Melbourne is $6 for normal $7.79 express Aus post

    Bought a pair:)

    • Why did I get down voted?

      • Some people have a particular syndrome.

  • +3

    new website? why the change?

  • $9.57 shipping to Adelaide

  • +9

a quick perusal of OP's previous posts show

    poor quality product
    poor customer service

No way are these worth the RRP of $109

At least OP has stopped lying that his products are 100% Australian made

  • +8

still the same people buying at all hours of the morning on the site, which is a lie just like the fake prices that are nothing less than spamming OzBargain.

  • Rep: Any deals going on the Tidals?

  • +3

Thanks, bought one for my wife. I ordered 2 pair for myself with the previous deal a couple of months ago and they are great. Looking at the negative comments, not sure if there was a batch of bad ones previously but the 2 pair I ordered are good quality and warm.

    • +1

not sure if there was a batch of bad ones previously

      comments about poor quality

range from July 2022 to more recent
given that these scuffs are posted here on average once a month, that must be a lot of bad batches- only the store rep can answer the question about bad batches

sadly going by the store reps previous posts if you end up with a dodgy pair, your comments will be ignored

as he had ignored most of these comments

      • +1

Fair enough, not sure why I deserve a negative vote for providing my own experience though 🤷‍♂️

        • +2

          Wasn't me mate

  • The four pairs of Scuff Ian I bought for the family from the 6 Jul 2022 deal at $30 a piece are still going strong here too.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/711000

  • I bought these last year, they were too big so I returned them, they sent me a free return label and sent me a size smaller as I requested. Easy return, very comfy, no complaints from me.

  • Bought a couple things from these guys. No complaints and glad to support an Australian company.

  • When will you do a deal like this on kids boots or slippers???

  • My men's scuffs are still going great. Got them in one of the last deals like this. You def shouldn't pay RRP for anything from this store.

  • +2

RRP of $109… Get real. This just looks like a fake RRP to make the discount look bigger than what it is.

Negging because of past performance of store and the fact that this feels like spam at this point. Also, what is with the new URL? Is this to circumvent a rep posting ban on the other store?

  • Wearing mine right now, almost 2 years old and still going strong.

    • +2

I think we've found our youngest ozbargain member yet.

  • Happy enough with mine.

  • +1

Out of the six various models we have, only one sole came apart but that was kids who wore them every where. Yes RRP is a little overstated, but not isolated to this company. Not sure why all the negativity around this provider.

  • +2

here we go again. OP, you still have Made in Australia. That is false advertising, you know this.

  • does anyone know how to clean these?

  • Is it really made in Australia? How does it compare with the ones selling with Kogan for $29.99?
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/outback-ugg-slippers-premium-sh…

  • +7

I would recommend people avoid these. I have purchased a pair previously. Quality was quite poor. Was very disappointed.

  • +7

    Not 100% made in Aus
    Bullshit RRP
Fake "X just bought Y" nonsense on the website
    Generally poor rep behaviour

    When will you learn OP?

  • +5

Misleading to quote RRP when you constantly sell it at this price.

  • +1

mine have a bunch of bold patches, however, probably still worth the $29

    • +2

So not a bargain in other words.

  • -1

Worth $29, I buy them once a year. Does what it is meant to.

  • FWIW I’m starting my second winter with my current pair of Ians. I think the first pair lasted 3-4 winters before getting too grotty and being retired. The part that wears pretty quickly in my experience are the heels—the sheepskin gets flattened and occasionally sheds—but that’s always happened to me with any kind of lined slippers, Uggs or Grosby or whatever.

I’ve also had a pair of Opal Ugg boots for several years and they’re still going strong (similar issue with heels though).

  • Taking a chance on these for the Mrs

If they're crap I'll certainly be letting it be known

    • RIP your cash in advance, but youll just sbackbace the transaction ;-)

  • +4

Negging due to sellers previous poor OzBargain reviews, misleading quoted RRP, BS sales, BS quality and claims and more

  • +3

It’s a neg from me due to your constant adverting of an inferior product that has a hugely inflated rrp

  • Despite all the negs, I appreciate the product and all my family enjoy wearing the scuffs, since being an Ozbargainer I don't like putting on the expensive gas heating. And
    Melbourne winter is cold!
    Bought more.

    • -3

Thank you for the support, it’s customers like you that make it possible for the OzBargain community to actually get deals.

All the Negs are from the exact same people who’ve been Negging our deals for many years.now.

      • +4

Please list which members have been negging for many years?

Also if you were actually posting deals then the negs won't matter at all. The problem is the lack of positive votes.

      • +6

All the Negs are from the exact same people who’ve been Negging our deals for many years.now

as a store rep, you are automatically subscribed to all our comments
yet you continue for many years now, continue to refuse to address the mutiple issues raised here with your products

        see here

Is there a reason why you have refused for many years to address the comments about your products falling apart?
To me that is a reflection of the fact that you are only interested in selling your product, and least interested in answering basic questions about why so many customers have claimed your products are substandard

Are you suggesting that your potential new customers should not know that people may have negged you because your products fall apart quicker than others, and then you dont bother addressing basic queries?

For years, with every post you encouraged us

We encourage all customers to do some research when looking to purchase any brand of Ugg Boots.

Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

So we asked you for the address of the manufacturer (not supplier) of the soles of you scuffs/ boots
And now for years you have not addressed this basic question which you yourself encouraged us to ask

Is there a reason for being evasive about the address of the manufacturer of the soles of your scuffs? for years

Do your potential customers not have a right to know that you and have been super evasive with this basic question for years? After having encouraged us to ask this very question

Most of us love a good Aussie product, and are willing to pay a premium for it, if it means supporting local jobs
In return is it not unreasonable to expect a quality product, timely customer service, and a response to queries if any?

You have a post count of 203 over 4 years or roughly a post count of one a week and this suggests
the price of $29 in this case, is more of a regular price, in no universe would a scuff of this quality fetch close to your RRP
which makes this more of an advert rather than a bargain
        and
the focus of Ugg Australia is sales without then providing basic customer service

see growing list of ignored customer feedback

Despite posting here for many years here is a friendly reminder about the ozbargain store rep code of conduct, which have been in existence for many years, and which you have been ignoring for many years, for reasons best known to you

It is recommended that reps respond to comments and reasonable enquiries about their deal, product or service. To assist with this, reps are automatically subscribed their deal posts

        TLDR
users have been saying your products have been falling apart for years this has not changed
you refuse to address customers for years who say their boots/ scuff have been falling apart- this continues to this day
you have been evasive for years about the origins of the soles of your boots

hopefully we don't have to wait for years for you to address these basic queries

  • +3

    RRP is a lie.

      What is an RRP Josh086?

      • +2

Please list which members have been negging for many years?

        • -3

@WatchNerd you’re not a previous customer, you’re a constant troll on our deals, it’s border line harassment and also defamation to our business…

          • +2

@UGGAustraliaOfficial: You made the statement so please list the members that have been negging for many years?

If you can't back it up then maybe stop trying to shift blame.

          • @UGGAustraliaOfficial: wow just wow

I do not think only prior customers are permitted to ask questions as per ozbargain rules

Just makes me wonder why any store rep would be consistent in not replying to basic queries about their product

eg I have written to two other Australian Ugg companies, one in Victoria and one in Queensland asking where their soles were made, and they had no hesitation in answering despite me not being a previous customer

With those stores, I was immediately filled with confidence, because the impression they gave was that they had nothing to hide

So refuse to answer basic questions time and again
            and
threaten legal action because members "are trolling"

I really don't think that is what this ozbargain forum is all about

Maybe if you would just clarify members queries, members would not have to repeat the same questions for many years

Just wondering if as a store rep, you don't seem to want to abide by the store rep guidelines, why post here?

Mods if members should stop asking basic questions, please let us know thanks

            • -1

@docians: @docians you currently live in Canada 🇨🇦 how are you allowed to constantly degrade us? This is an Australian Community- YOUR “I.P” is located in Canada

  • +1

docians you currently live in Canada
YOUR “I.P” is located in Canada

funny how the store rep seems to know where I am, but is clueless as to where the soles of Opal Ugg/ Ugg Australia originate from?

This despite for over 150 posts he constantly told us

There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

Store rep, is there a reason you cannot provide us with the details of the origin of the soles of your boots/ scuffs?

It was listed on Ozbargain exactly 2 weeks ago, as a Canada 🇨🇦 flag next to their name

Perhaps if you were to spend less time chasing flags next to names, you would have more time to respond to feedback provided by your customers

This is a growing list, and it seems to grow with every post of yours. For reasons best known to you, this feedback is ignored every post, despite the store rep being automatically subscribed

Of interest is this feedback from nearly four years ago, which talks about poor quality product, lack of response to emails etc

Has anything changed in four years wrt product quality or customer feedback?

  • -5

What is your end game Docians?

To have this business banned from ozbargain?

To have the business close and its workers be out of jobs?

Have you ever owned this scuff product?

How many times have you purchased from this business?

How many of their products have you owned?

How many negative comments have you left this company since your interaction from 2021 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/659128 ?

    • -2

Must say I agree with this. I really don't get the constant frothing at the mouth…..

    • +1

To have this business banned from ozbargain?

Hopefully. No one likes spam and/or overly aggressive and confrontational store reps.

To have the business close and its workers be out of jobs?

If them being banned from posting on a deals website affects their business to a point that it collapses, it's already in a bad state.

Have you ever owned this scuff product?

Irrelevant. It is not in the voting guidelines that you must own a product to vote on it. Do you own everything you have ever voted on?

How many times have you purchased from this business?

Again, irrelevant. Under voting guidelines, a purchase is not required to vote. Plenty of others have purchased and passed on their negative experiences.

How many of their products have you owned?

Again, irrelevant. Purchase not required to vote on deals.

How many negative comments have you left this company since your interaction from 2021

About as many as the company has spammed the community with advertising.

    • +2

Oh right, because calling out the appalling behaviour by the rep, not to mention the dodgy AF "x just bought y" plugin they have on their website (and consistently refuse to acknowledge or confirm it is real) will be the downfall of the business. LMAO. How about personal accountability of the business to do better, instead of the bullshit emotional blackmail you're trying to push. They are not obliged to post here, and this community is not responsible for the success or failure of this business.

      • -2

There is no arguing with you guys. You are acting like a pack of bullies. I get it if you purchase a product and are not happy with the quality that you complain and/or seek a refund and try and get things sorted out. But to be from that point onwards making it your personal mission to impact the business' reputation regardless of the merit of the post is just nasty evil behaviour.

        • +1

          nAsTy…eViL

Lmao you're sounding as irrational & clueless as the rep continues to. I don't abide by shitty rep behaviour, or their refusal to address a litany of issues, but you keep happy clapping for shonky merchants all you like. The quote about the fool & their money springs to mind.

          • @Ham Dragon: Do you have grounds to back up your claim of 'Shonky Merchants'; That is a big defamatory call that can get you in a bit of trouble.
Have you ever owned a pair of their boots?

            • @mshanann: That’s not how defamation works in Australia when it comes to companies.

              • +4

@pegaxs: Lots of members are fed up with shonky merchants trying to use Ozbargain for free advertising.

                • @WatchNerd: You guys are treading a fine line with your constant bagging of this company. Just hope it is worth it - and entirely accurate.

                  • @mshanann: Thanks for letting us know. I'm wondering what you hope to achieve with your recent comments here?

Not trying to start an argument with other members, just honestly curious.

              • @pegaxs: Small business can. There is injurious falsehood too. Anyway, not my problem - I'm not being defamatory.

                • +2

@mshanann: It's not defamation. The biggest slap in the face to defamation is a "truth" defence. You cant screech "DeFaMaTiOn!!1!!!" every time someone says anything other than blowing sunshine up your arse.

                  There is injurious falsehood too

Then name some examples? What are people saying about this company that is completely and utterly false?

                  The main gripes are;

This is just spam: It's the same few items every few weeks, over and over again.
Inflated RRP/fake discount: The items are on sale and posted here so often it's near impossible to determine what the actual regular price is.
Fake website buyers ticker: No one is buying 6 sets of the same scuffs at 2am in Bungendore.
Aggressive/confrontational rep: Just check their latest post.
Misleading about being 100% Australian made: Rep has admitted to sourcing parts from not Australia.
Quality concerns: There are multiple comments and examples from actual buyers relating their concerns over quality issues.
Possible ban circumventing: Rep was banned from posting but an almost identical store that sells the Uggs Australia products posted a deal for Uggs and that store and domain just happened to be owned by someone with the same (and not very common) last name.

Negging a deal on a bargain focused forum is not in and of itself "DeFaMaTiOn!1!!1!!!"

                  • -2

                    @pegaxs: Pull up Ch23 from B&D Torts
The Australian Made logo is pretty clear on definition - specifically regarding last transformation.
Inflated RRP - You may want to look at competitors in the space and what they charge - maybe also check out what the product is being sold for at tourist retail shops.
Website plugin - sales need to be legitimate. ACCC has a reporting feature if you think otherwise?

            • +1

@mshanann: Yes, we keep asking the rep - several times now - is the website plugin which boasts "So-and-so from <place> purchased X" accurate and in real time? They continually ignore the question, despite the same names popping up on a cyclical basis. That is shonky behaviour, both the presence of fraudulent claims of sales, and the refusal to confirm/deny the accuracy of the plugin. It is not defamatory to refer to dodgy practices as such.
