I've looked at a lot of universal adapters. Yes, this a Heymix, but hey, it's a Heymix Professional. Most of the other ones are probably rebranded Heymix anyway.

This is a new model released in March this year. It has the smallest footprint at 5.5 x 5.5cm according to the photos (others are about 5x7cm). It's one of the lightest at 130g. It's rated at 2400W with a 10A fuse.

Tick the $5 coupon, add another one in black and do the same. When you check out, it's $17.88 for 2. not working anymore

I think it should be ok since it's only an adapter, and not a charger that explodes. I've spent about an hour looking at travel adapters, and think this is one of the better ones. It's also very cheap right now for Prime members. I bought 2 so if one dies, I have another, or I can change the fuse that costs a dollar.

Wow, heymix are now selling a pro firestarter.

    • I think these type of universal travel adapters don't get SAA tick ….. regardless of brand ….. guess it depends where you are travelling and how light ….hotels I've stayed at have universal power points in bathrooms for guests who need to charge stuff or have electric shavers … in my suitcase I have a powerboard so I can hook up all my gear and have single country travel adapter kit.

    • Earth pin optional

smallest footprint = less room for air = faster ignite

    • I wanted the smallest plug so it won't hit switches. Are you a sparky?

      Good for marshmellows

To anyone who has had bad experiences on your travels, take this with you on your return trip to exact revenge. Bwahaha! Sheesh.

  • It's chonky!

  • This device allows you to fire globally.

  • It has been a bit chilly this autumn

    • Perfect time for roast duck

  • No comment on power output for the USB ports hmmm

    • USB-A 5V/2.4A, USB-C 5V/3A - it's in one of the photos

I don't care sbout the USB ports because I'll be using a 140W gan charger (not Heymix)

      • Thanks, I just noticed that.
But I mean the photos also say 1 USB C Ports and 3 USB A Ports
and in the compatible devices it mentions MacBook Pro Series 65W charging hence my confusion.
Was going to bite the bullet but I thought given the Heymix reputation (warm and toasty) and with the USB ports they can't even define properly might be too risky for now. Probably will regret it but oh well.

        • Yeah the description is a mess but my main focus is to just use it as a plug, and this fits my use case.

          • @rosebank: If you're still looking after your purchase (haha), I've just settled on https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005425005487.html
I know you've said you won't be using the USB ports but for peace of mind and for it's $40 it replaces laptop charger which is pretty convenient

@diazepam: I looked at that; Lencent stuff is on sale at Amazon. I already have a more powerful gan charger with more ports, so that's just a heavier, bigger adapter to me. And who's to say it's safer? Lencent doesn't have the reputation of other Chinese companies like Anker.

I'm buying a travel adapter, not a charger. I know Heymix chargers have a bad rep, I'm not a sparky or electrical engineer, but I think these adapters will work fine. Yeah, everyone's having a laugh, but no-one with actual credentials has said, "hey, this is bad because x reason."

Stay away from Heymix unless you are looking to get warm and toasty 🔥🔥

    • Isnt the the point for a cold winter

    • Yup. Who needs a fireplace when you got heymix.

      • how easy is it to tarnish the brand when they put out badly made products…

        • Is one thing for a product to just not work. Ok bummer.

And theres it nearly burns your house down because a product failed.

  • I read bad reviews on heymix products
Anyone please recommend me a reliable travel adapter that is under 100g? Thanks.

      https://www.amazon.com.au/Worldwide-SAUNORCH-European-Univer…

99g. This is the only one I found under 100g, but the EU plug is not as good, it's bigger, and the specs are worse. But lots of reviews and 4.5 stars

      • Thanks, it looks like another random chinese brand to me, and it's much more expensive.
instead of under 100g, maybe there are more options say around 125g?

        • LENCENT stuff is on sale, and there are a few under 150g. But you have to look at the specs and understand it's probably coming from the same factory in Shenzhen.

    • I recommend buying the Jollyfit International Universal Travel Adapter Type C and 3 USB Charger Power Wall Plug if it’s back in stock. It is 60g heavier than some other options, but I have personally used it for 5 overseas holidays and it has worked perfectly without fail. The reliability and performance are worth the extra weight!

  • Can't get 17.88 for 2?

    • must have been a glitch or something, not working anymore

  • +2

To be fair - the one I got from Aldi caused the power to our room in Vietnam to blow and smelled of smoke - so its not just Heymix adapters that do this.

It's like all electronics. iPhones and Samsung phones blow up or catch fire. Respectable companies recall faulty products. People should worry more about the $20 20000mAh powerbank in their pocket that uses 18650s from who knows where. Or their $30 1000 lumen torches. All made in China.

  • Showing $27 for 2

    • The loophole has been closed
